Dil To Pagal Hai, is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film directed by Yash Chopra. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor and Akshay Kumar. It follows the love lives of the members of a musical troupe, in which two dancers get entangled in a love triangle with their choreographer (Khan). The soundtrack was composed by Uttam Singh, and the lyrics penned by Anand Bakshi.

Daraar is a 1996 Indian Hindi-language romantic psychological thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan starring Juhi Chawla, Rishi Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan in his film debut. Upon release, the film received mixed to positive reviews, especially for Arbaaz's portrayal as a possessive and abusive husband. Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani is a 2000 Indian Hindi-language drama film released by Dreamz Unlimited. The producers derived the title from lines of the song "Mera Joota Hai Japani" from Shree 420 (1955). Directed by Aziz Mirza, the film focuses on TV media wars. Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla play Ajay Bakshi and Ria Banerjee, respectively, who are two television reporters for rival news channels, KTV and Galaxy TV. They try to save the life of a man, who has been fixed by politicians for the death of his brother, from a death sentence. The film marked the first production venture by Khan, Chawla, and Mirza under their production company Dreamz Unlimited, now Red Chillies Entertainment. The film won the IIFA Award for Best Special Effects.
Salaam-e-Ishq also known as Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by Nikkhil Advani, marking his second directorial venture after Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003). It weaves six love stories together and follows the relationships of the people within it.

The 58th Filmfare Awards were held honoring the best films of 2012 from the Hindi-language film industry. The nominations were announced on 13 January 2013. The ceremony was held on 20 January 2013 at Yash Raj Studio, Mumbai. The event was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan for the sixth time. All the Filmfare Black Lady statuettes had gold-plated bottoms to celebrate 100 years of Indian Cinema. The Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded posthumously to Yash Chopra by Karan Johar.
