This was the eleventh edition of LOS40 Music Awards (formerly Los Premios 40 Principales), the annual music awards organized by Spanish radio Los 40. It was held on December 1, 2016, on Barcelona's Palau Sant Jordi, marking the first time the ceremony does not take place in Madrid. The nominations, alongside the new design of the awards, were revealed on October 5, 2016.

The Festival Presidente previously known as Festival Presidente de Música Latina, is a music festival in the Dominican Republic. It is one of the most important musical events in Latin America and is the largest in the Caribbean region. The festival is arranged by the Cervecería Nacional Dominicana and is celebrated every two years for three days during October in the Estadio Olímpico Félix Sánchez of Santo Domingo.

The 15th Annual Latin Grammy Awards was held on November 20, 2014 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise. This was the first time that Latin Grammys has been held at this location. The main telecast was broadcast on Univision at 8:00PM EST.

This was the ninth edition of Los Premios 40 Principales, the annual awards organized by Spanish music radio Los 40 Principales. It was held on December 12, 2014 in Madrid's Barclaycard Center, which has been home to the award show since its creation in 2006.

Duele el Corazón 2016 single by Enrique Iglesias

"Duele el Corazón" is a song by Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias featuring vocals from Puerto Rican rapper Wisin. It was released on 18 April 2016 under his new record company Sony Music Latin. The song was produced by Carlos Paucar, co-produced by Juan Carlos Yepez Jr Francisco Saldaña (Luny). The Peruvian composer Patrick Ingunza wrote the song along with Venezuelan singer Servando Primera and the Ecuadorian American record producer and songwriter Juan Carlos Yepez Jr.

The 17th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were held on November 17, 2016 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

The LOS40 Music Awards 2017 were the twelfth edition of the LOS40 Music Awards, the annual awards organized by Spanish radio station Los 40. It was held on November 10, 2017 in the WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain.

The 29th Lo Nuestro Awards ceremony, presented by the American network Univision, honoring the best Latin music of 2016 in the United States, took place on February 23, 2017, at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida beginning at 5:00 p.m. PST. During the ceremony, Lo Nuestro Awards were presented in 26 categories. The ceremony was televised in the United States by Univision. Alejandra Espinoza and William Valdés hosted the show.
