La Izquierda Diario is an online newspaper network that publishes news and opinion pieces. [1] The newspaper was created by Socialist Workers' Party, a Trotskyist political party in Argentina. [1] [2] [3] La Izquierda Diario has been credited for gaining a non-Trotskyite reader base among the left. [4] By 2014 the Socialist Workers' Party declared to have an international network of Trotskyite rapporteurs in 15 countries. [1] The network declares to publish 15 local editions written in one of seven languages; Spanish, French, English, German, Catalan, Italian and Portuguese. [5]
The Communist Party of Spain is a communist party that, since 1986, has been part of the United Left coalition, which is part of Sumar. Women in POUM in Francoist Spain were few as many, along with male dominated leadership, were forced into exile following the end of the Spanish Civil War. Those in exile often felt isolated and alone. Those who remained were sometimes sent to prison. POUM women participated in a hunger strike at Madrid's Las Ventas prison in 1946. The group fell by the wayside as Partido Comunista de España became the pre-dominant resistance organization in Spain. The organization finally dissolved during the 1950s in Toulouse, France with its memory kept alive by the wife of its last president, María Teresa Carbone, through the Fundació Andreu Nin.

Por Andalucía is an Andalusian-based electoral alliance formed by Podemos, United Left/The Greens–Assembly for Andalusia (IULV–CA), Equo, Green Alliance (AV), Más País and Andalusian People's Initiative (IdPA) to contest the 2022 Andalusian regional election. The alliance was launched after over two months of negotiations between the parties to the left of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party of Andalusia (PSOE–A), in an attempt to form a joint list that avoided wasted votes; however, both the new Adelante Andalucía party of Teresa Rodríguez, as well as the Andalusian Andalucía por Sí (AxSí)—which had been a founding member of the Andaluces Levantaos alliance between Más País, IdPA and itself—rejected joining in.
Sumar is a left-wing to far-left electoral platform—constituted as an instrumental political party—for the 2023 Spanish general election, led by Spanish second deputy prime minister and labour minister Yolanda Díaz. The platform was provisionally registered as an association on 28 March 2022 and publicly unveiled on 18 May. After a series of nationwide public events from July 2022 to 25 March 2023, the platform presented its manifesto and officially announced Díaz's candidacy for the election on 2 April. On 30 May, after a snap general election was called, the platform registered as a political party under the name Movimiento Sumar in order to form coalitions with other leftist parties.
