Point of Fork Plantation is a historic plantation house and farm located near Columbia, Fluvanna County, Virginia. The main house was built about 1830, and is a two-story, five bay, brick dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It measures 50 feet by 40 feet and is topped by a shallow hipped roof with balustrade. The front facade features a large two-story tetrastyle Greek Doric order portico. Also on the property are a contributing servant's house and office. The house is a twin of Glen Arvon, as they were built by brothers William and James Galt. In March 1865, Federal troops under General Philip Sheridan occupied the plantation and Sheridan set up headquarters in the house.

The district encompasses 184 contributing buildings, 3 contributing sites, and 1 contributing object in the wooded and agricultural northeastern corner of Grayson County. It includes mostly frame or log structures, with a few brick buildings, and several well-preserved examples of early-19th century log dwellings still in use. Notable buildings include the Knob Fork Primitive Baptist Church, William Bourne House "Walnut Hill", Austin King House, Tomlinson House, O'Donnell Place, Ephraim Boyer House, John Fielder Farmhouse, Ebenezer Methodist Church and Cemetery, Spring Valley Academy, Glenn Cornett House (1904), and Phipps Bourne Farmstead (1909). Powhatan is a historic home located near Five Forks, James City County, Virginia. The house was designed by its owner Richard Taliaferro and built about 1750. It is a two-story, five bay by two bay Georgian style brick dwelling. It has a hipped roof with dormers and features two massive interior end T-shaped chimneys. The house was gutted by fire during the American Civil War. It was thoroughly restored in 1948.

Spotsylvania Court House Historic District is a national historic district located at Spotsylvania, Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The district includes 24 contributing buildings in the historic core of Spotsylvania. The principal building is the Spotsylvania Court House, a two-story Roman Revival style brick building built in 1839-1840 and extensively remodeled in 1901. The front facade features a tetrastyle portico in the Tuscan order. Associated with the courthouse is a late 18th-century jail and office and storage buildings erected in the 1930s. Other notable buildings include the Spottswood Inn, Berea Church (1856), Christ Church (1841), Dabney Farm, J.P.H. Crismond House, Harris House, and Cary Crismond House.
