Lars Simonsen (born 19 September 1963) is a Danish actor.

He graduated from Aarhus Teater in 1990. In theatre roles, he has appeared at Odense Teater, Rialto Teatret, Gladsaxe Teater, Husets Teater and Betty Nansen Teatret, among others.

Plays he has worked on include Snart kommer tiden, Den gerrige, Hagbard og Signe, Maskerade, Pinocchios aske, Helligtrekongers aften and Primadonnaer på prøve.

Lars Simonsen won the Robert Prize for best actor in 1985 and 1998 for the films Tro, håb og kærlighed and Barbara . He won the award for Best Actor at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival for his role in Twist and Shout . [1]

From TV, he is best known from the series Landsbyen , but he has also had a role in Mordkommisjonen .

Lars Klevstrand

Lars Klevstrand is a Norwegian singer, guitarist, composer and actor. He was born in Drammen, Buskerud, the son of Olav Klevstrand and Grethe Sofie Larsen, and was brought up in Bærum.

Twist and Shout is a 1984 Danish drama film directed by Bille August. It was entered into the 14th Moscow International Film Festival where Lars Simonsen won the award for Best Actor. It was also selected as the Danish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 58th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.

The prize was founded by the Bikuben Foundation in 1998 and has been handed annually since then. The prizes are in 16 categories and 10 talent-prizes. A special committee decides who the recipients will be. The Bikuben Foundation chooses the members of the committee, the members are specialists in theatre, i.e. theatre critics. The recipients receive a statuette and a prize. As of 2016 the recipients also receive an amount of money. The recipients of the Reumert Prize of honour receive DDK 200 000, the recipients of the Talent prize receive DDK 35 000 and all other categories-recipients receive DDK 40 000. The Reumert prize is named after the Danish actor Poul Reumert (1883-1968).
