Lee Hsien Loong is a Singaporean politician and former brigadier-general who has been serving as Senior Minister of Singapore since 2024, having previously served as Prime Minister of Singapore and Secretary-General of the People's Action Party from 2004 to 2024. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Teck Ghee division of Ang Mo Kio GRC since 1991, and previously Teck Ghee SMC between 1984 and 1991.

Hand In Hand is a Singaporean drama produced and telecast on MediaCorp Channel 8. The drama began production in April 2015 and began airing from 25 September 2015. You Can Be An Angel 2 is a Singaporean nursing series produced and telecast on Mediacorp Channel 8 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (Singapore). It is supported by the Care To Go Beyond movement by MOH. It stars Zoe Tay, Xiang Yun, Rebecca Lim, Bryan Wong, Aloysius Pang, Xu Bin & Carrie Wong as the casts of the second series.

Malaysians in Singapore refers to citizens of Malaysia or Singaporean citizens of Malaysian origin residing in Singapore. According to the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the community had a population of 952,261 in 2019, making them the world's largest Malaysian diaspora community. The community is also the largest foreign community in Singapore, constituting 44% of the country's foreign-born population and an additional 350,000 Malaysians cross the Johor–Singapore Causeway daily for work and school in the city-state.
Cheong Chun Yin is a Malaysian former death row convict who is currently serving a life sentence in Singapore for drug trafficking. Cheong and a female accomplice were both convicted of trafficking of 2,726g of heroin into Singapore from Myanmar in 2008, and sentenced to death by hanging in 2010. Cheong submitted multiple unsuccessful appeals against his sentence; his case, similar to Yong Vui Kong's, received much attention in the media, at a time when activists argued for Singapore to abolish the death penalty.
On 24 May 1968, 19-year-old Ong Beang Leck, the son of a millionaire, was last seen leaving his house. His family received a call two days later, being told by the caller that Ong was kidnapped and a ransom of S$100,000 was demanded. After a second phone call in the second week of Ong's disappearance, the ransom was reduced to S$20,000 after negotiations, and it was paid for Ong's safe return. However, after the arrest of one suspect, it was established that Ong was murdered and in the midst of investigations and subsequent capture of four more suspects, Ong's decomposed body was discovered in a manhole at Jurong. Five of the suspects were charged in relation to their roles in the kidnapping and murder of the youth, with three hanged for murder while the remaining two were jailed for abetting the abduction and possession of the ransom money as well.
