Leslie Belzberg is a Canadian film and TV producer. She is best known for her collaborations with director John Landis. [1]
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Belzberg graduated from York University in Toronto with a degree in English literature and contemporary drama.[ citation needed ]
Belzberg formally entered the film industry when George Folsey Jr. hired her to work with him and John Landis on Trading Places.
Leslie Belzberg produced ten films directed by Landis (all Landis' films from Into the Night to Susan's Plan ) and four TV series in which Landis participated (including The Lost World and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show ). Belzberg was George Folsey assistant during filming Trading Places , she also was Blues Brothers 2000 executive music producer. [2] She won - along with Landis - CableACE Awards for Dream on series and appeared in The Making of "Blues Brothers 2000" as herself.

Daniel Edward Aykroyd is a Canadian actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician. Aykroyd was a writer and an original member of the "Not Ready for Prime Time Players" cast on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from its inception in 1975 until his departure in 1979. During his tenure on SNL, he appeared in a recurring series of sketches, particularly featuring the Coneheads and the Blues Brothers. For his work on the show, he received five Primetime Emmy Award nominations winning for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series in 1977. After his departure, he has since returned in guest roles.
The Blues Brothers are an American blues and soul revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live. Belushi and Aykroyd fronted the band, in character, respectively, as lead vocalist 'Joliet' Jake Blues and harmonica player/vocalist Elwood Blues, donning black suits with matching fedoras and sunglasses. The band was composed of well-known musicians, and debuted as the musical guest in a 1978 episode of Saturday Night Live, opening the show performing "Hey Bartender", and later "Soul Man".

Folsey was acquitted in a manslaughter case brought over the deaths of actor Vic Morrow and two children in a helicopter accident on the set of Twilight Zone: The Movie. Folsey is the son of George J. Folsey and father of editor Ryan Folsey.
