Liberation Transmission is the third studio album by Welsh rock band Lostprophets, released on 26 June 2006 by Visible Noise.
This is the first Lostprophets album recorded without original drummer Mike Chiplin. Josh Freese drummed at the request of Bob Rock, but the band's first choice was Travis Barker.[ citation needed ] Ilan Rubin also played drums for the songs "Everybody's Screaming!!!" and "For All These Times Son, for All These Times".
"Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)" was released to American radio on 16 May 2006. [4] On 13 June, "For All These Times Son, For All These Times" was made available for streaming via the band's Myspace profile. [5] On 25 June, the album was made available for streaming via Alternative Press , [6] and was a day later through Columbia. From late August to mid October, the band went on a headlining tour of the US with support from Kill Hannah, the Rasmus and Eighteen Visions. [7] "The New Transmission" was released to American radio on 3 October. [4] Following this, they went on another US tour later in October and running into November. The band was supported by Take the Crown and the Transit War. [8] In November and December, the band went on a brief UK tour with support from This Is Hell. [9]
Despite the success of “Rooftops” as a single in America, the album failed to match sales of its predecessor, and has not received any certification by the RIAA as of 2023.

Initial critical response to Liberation Transmission was positive. At Metacritic the album received an average score of 73, based on 7 reviews. There were many positive reviews. NME said "Lostprophets are big and brash and brilliant. And this is rock'n'roll radio." [15] Drowned in Sound said "While Liberation Transmission may be a lyrical vacuum, it is also a musical masterclass in how to create 12 tracks of killer with almost no filler." [11] One of the mixed reviews was Entertainment Weekly who gave it a B− and said, "Around the world, 15-year-olds will fall for this band. Then they will turn 16 and move on", [12] while Observer Music Monthly followed saying "Lyrically absurd, musically turbo-fueled." [16]
It became the first Lostprophets album to enter the UK Albums Chart at number one (2 July for 1 week). The album peaked at No. 33 on the Billboard 200 album chart with 27,000 copies sold. [17] By August 2006, the album had sold over 75,000 copies in the US. [18] The album has gone Platinum in the UK and was the 94th best selling album of 2006, with sales over 210,000 units.
"Everybody's Screaming!" has the outro, "It's not over, not over, not over, not over yet", a reference to the song, "Not Over Yet" by dance act Grace. According to Ian Watkins at local music show The Full Ponty, this song was written about how the bandmates hated their jobs. They went going out dancing at a club in Pontypridd after a bad week at work, and "Not Over Yet" was a song that they'd dance to every week. [19]

Lostprophets were a Welsh rock band from Pontypridd, formed in 1997 by singer Ian Watkins and guitarist Lee Gaze. The group was founded after their former band Fleshbind broke up. They later recruited Mike Lewis on guitars, Stuart Richardson on bass and Mike Chiplin on drums.
Start Something is the second studio album by the Welsh rock band Lostprophets, released on 2 February 2004 through Visible Noise in the United Kingdom and South Korea. The album was released internationally on 5 February 2004 through Columbia. The band began work on the album in 2003 after touring for support of their previous album, The Fake Sound of Progress. This is the second and last album featuring the original drummer Mike Chiplin.

Blackbird is the second studio album by American rock band Alter Bridge, released on October 5, 2007. The first single, "Rise Today", was released on July 30, 2007. Riot! is the second studio album by the American rock band Paramore. The Betrayed is the fourth studio album by Welsh rock band Lostprophets, released through Visible Noise and Sony Music on 13 January 2010. Although the band initially wished to record a quick follow-up to 2006's Liberation Transmission, problems with labels and producers led to numerous delays. Consequently, tracks from the album were performed live as early as 2007, but recording was not completed until July 2009, following an entire album's worth of material being scrapped by the band.
Weapons is the fifth and final studio album by the Welsh rock band Lostprophets. It was released through Epic Records on 2 April 2012. It was the first and only record featuring Luke Johnson on drums, after being with two other drummers previously, Mike Chiplin and Ilan Rubin. This was the last album to ever be released by the band before lead vocalist Ian Watkins was convicted of numerous sex offences, which led to their disbandment.
Holy Fire is the third studio album by British rock band Foals, released on 11 February 2013 in the United Kingdom on Transgressive Records. The first single "Inhaler" first aired on 5 November 2012 on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show, with the music video being released later that same day. The second single "My Number" debuted on Later... with Jools Holland on 13 November 2012. The track had its radio debut one month later, also on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. The music video premiered on 23 January 2013.
Fortress is the fourth studio album by American rock band Alter Bridge, released by Roadrunner Records on September 25, 2013. Michael Baskette, who produced Alter Bridge's previous two albums, Blackbird (2007) and AB III (2010), returned as the producer. This Is All Yours is the second album by English indie rock band alt-J, released on 22 September 2014 through Infectious. It was promoted with four singles: "Hunger of the Pine", "Left Hand Free", "Every Other Freckle", and "Warm Foothills". It topped the UK Albums Chart, was runner up in Belgium, Australia, and Canada and reached #4 in the United States. It was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
