Lindauer DORNIER GmbH is a family-owned business textile machinery manufacturer located in Lindau, Germany. Originally part of the Dornier GmbH it was spun off in 1985.

The Dornier Aerodyne was a wingless VTOL unmanned aircraft. Conceived by Alexander Lippisch, it was developed and built by Dornier on behalf of the Federal German Ministry of Defence (BMVg). Lippisch was part of the team. The first flight took place on 18 September 1972. The development ended on 30 November 1972 after successful hovering-flight testing with the aircraft. Experimentation did not continue due to lack of interest by the Bundeswehr.

The Dornier Do Y was a trimotor German monoplane bomber of the early 1930s designed by Dornier Flugzeugwerke to an order by the Royal Yugoslav Air Force (RYAF). The Yugoslavs originally intended to use war reparations to pay for them, but ultimately had to use their own funds. Only a pair of aircraft were initially ordered to give the Yugoslavs experience with multi-engine bombers and Dornier failed to sell any more Do Y's. Two improved versions were subsequently built on speculation, but failed to find purchasers until the RYAF bought them in 1935.

The Rolls-Royce/MAN Turbo RB.153 was a high-performance 6,850 pounds-force (3,110 kgf) dry thrust turbofan engine developed jointly by Rolls-Royce Limited and MAN Turbo. Developed for the German EWR VJ 101D interceptor with a German-developed thrust-deflector system. The engine was also proposed for a number of other military VTOL projects including the Hawker P.1157 and Dornier Do 31. A commercial-version of the engine was also considered for the Messerschmitt Me P.160 airliner. The VJ101D project was cancelled and the engine never flew, being retained as a test bed.
