Barbara Joan "Barbra" Streisand is an American singer, musician, actress, and filmmaker. In a career spanning six decades, she has achieved success in multiple fields of entertainment and has been recognized with two Academy Awards, ten Grammy Awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Grammy Legend Award, five Emmy Awards including one Daytime Emmy, a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute award, a Kennedy Center Honors prize, four Peabody Awards, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and nine Golden Globes. She is among a small group of entertainers who have been honored with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award – though only three were competitive awards – and is one of only two artists in that group who have also won a Peabody.

During the 1980s Streisand concentrated on her film career ( Yentl , Nuts ), and she did few live concerts. Her album Guilty and the hit single Woman in Love between them sold more than 26 - 27 million copies worldwide and topped more than 15 charts each one. A 1986 concert (One Voice) grossed nearly $1.5 million.

Nuts is a 1987 American drama film directed by Martin Ritt and starring Barbra Streisand and Richard Dreyfuss. The screenplay by Tom Topor, Darryl Ponicsan, and Alvin Sargent is based on Topor's 1979 play of the same name. It was both Karl Malden's and Robert Webber's final feature film. It also included Leslie Nielsen's last non-comedic role.
Guilty is the twenty-second studio album by American singer Barbra Streisand released on September 23, 1980 by Columbia Records. It was produced by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and his group's regular production team of Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson.

In December 1993 she started Barbra Streisand in Concert , which was her first tour since An Evening With Barbra Streisand in 1966. The tour grossed an average of $2 million per concert, with tickets costing from $50 to $300.
Barbra Streisand in Concert is Barbra Streisand's First full tour which ran from 1993 through 1994. The tour consisted of 26 shows starting on New Year's Eve 1993 in Las Vegas and ended Anaheim, California in July 1994. The 18 shows that went on sale following the new year concerts in Las Vegas sold out in 1 hour. This tour was also the first time Barbra toured anywhere in Europe and was the last until her Timeless tour in 2000.

After the successful tour of 1994 Streisand promised another tour for 2000. That tour was called Timeless. She said that it would be her last tour and that possibly she "would retire" from the concert stage. She played Australia (Sydney and Melbourne) for the first time.
In 2006, she undertook the Streisand Tour and included European cities such as Paris, London, and Manchester. The tour was the second highest-grossing tour of 2006 ($92 million).

The Prince of Tides is a 1991 American romantic drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Pat Conroy; the film stars Barbra Streisand and Nick Nolte. It tells the story of the narrator's struggle to overcome the psychological damage inflicted by his dysfunctional childhood in South Carolina. Streisand directed and produced the film in addition to starring in it. Conroy and Becky Johnston adapted the screenplay.
"Don't Rain on My Parade" is a popular song from the 1964 musical Funny Girl. It was also featured in the 1968 movie version of the musical. The song was written by Bob Merrill and Jule Styne. Both the movie and stage versions feature Barbra Streisand performing the song. In 2004 it finished No. 46 in AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.
The Soul2Soul II Tour was the second co-headlining concert tour between American country music singers, and husband and wife, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. Beginning as the Soul2Soul II Tour 2006, its shows featured elaborate production values using an open, cross-shaped stage. Live Concert at the Forum is the second live album by American singer Barbra Streisand, released physically on October 1, 1972 by Columbia Records. Produced by long-time collaborator Richard Perry, it was recorded at The Forum in Los Angeles on April 15, 1972 during a concert held in benefit for George McGovern's 1972 presidential campaign. The performance in Miami was filmed for a Netflix release on November 22, 2017. A live album of the same name recorded during the concert tour was released on December 8, 2017.
