Bankya is a small town located on the outskirts of Sofia in western Bulgaria. It is administratively part of Greater Sofia.
Velingrad is a town in Pazardzhik Province, Southern Bulgaria, located at the western end of Chepino Valley, part of the Rhodope Mountains. It is the administrative center of the homonymous Velingrad Municipality and one of the most popular Bulgarian balneological resorts. The town has a population of 22,602 inhabitants according to the 2011 census of Velingrad.
Sredna Gora is a mountain range in central Bulgaria, situated south of and parallel to the Balkan mountain range and extending from the Iskar River to the west and the elbow of Tundzha north of Yambol to the east. Sredna Gora is 285 km long, reaching 50 km at its greatest width. Its highest peak is Golyam Bogdan at 1,604 m (5,262 ft). It is part of the Srednogorie mountain chain system, together with Vitosha, Plana (mountain), Lyulin Mountain, Greben (mountain), Viskyar Mountain, etc.
St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria and it is believed to be one of the 50 largest Christian church buildings by volume in the world. It is one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions. St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia occupies an area of 3,170 square metres (34,100 sq ft) and can hold 5,000 people inside. It is believed to be among the 10 largest Eastern Orthodox church buildings. It is the largest cathedral in the Balkans. It is believed that until year 2000 it was the largest finished Orthodox cathedral.
Dobrudzha Glacier is situated on the southeast side of Tangra Mountains, Burgas Peninsula, eastern Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, northeast of Magura Glacier, southeast of Iskar Glacier and southwest of Ropotamo Glacier. It is bounded by Ruse Peak and Asen Peak to the north and by Kuber Peak to the west and flows southeastward into Bransfield Strait. The glacier is named after the Dobrudzha region in northeastern Bulgaria.
Iskar Glacier is a glacier in Livingston Island, South Shetland Islands in Antarctica situated southeast of lower Huron Glacier, west-southwest of Sopot Ice Piedmont, and north of Dobrudzha and Magura Glaciers. It drains the north slopes of the Tangra Mountains between Helmet Peak to the west and Delchev Peak to the east, and flows northward into Bruix Cove between Yana Point and Rila Point.
Medven Glacier is a 2.5 km long and 1.5 km wide glacier on Ioannes Paulus II Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica situated east of Etar Snowfield, south of Urdoviza Glacier and north of Berkovitsa Glacier. It is bounded by the east slopes of Oryahovo Heights and drains eastwards into Prisoe Cove, Hero Bay between Remetalk Point and Agüero Point. Bulgarian mapping in 2005 and 2009.
The Peshtera Glacier is a glacier on the Rozhen Peninsula, Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica situated southwest of Ruen Icefall and north of Charity Glacier.
Rose Valley Glacier is a glacier on Varna Peninsula, eastern Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica situated northeast of Saedinenie Snowfield, northwest of Debelt Glacier and north of Panega Glacier. It extends 5.2 km in southeast-northwest direction and 3.7 km in southwest-northeast direction, and drains the northeast slopes of Vidin Heights to flow into Lister Cove and McFarlane Strait between Pomorie Point and Inott Point.
Targovishte Glacier is situated in Breznik Heights on Greenwich Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica, east of Zheravna Glacier and southwest of Musala Glacier. It is bounded by Viskyar Ridge to the west, Vratsa Peak to the northeast, and Drangov Peak and Ziezi Peak to the east, extending 700 m in east-west direction and 1.6 km in north-south direction, and draining southwards into Bransfield Strait northeast of Sartorius Point.
In the medieval history of Europe, Bulgaria's status as the Bulgarian Empire, occurred in two distinct periods: between the seventh and eleventh centuries, and again between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries. The two "Bulgarian Empires" are not treated as separate entities, but rather as one state restored after a period of Byzantine rule over its territory.

Bulgarian Australians are Australian citizens of Bulgarian ancestry. According to the 2006 Australian census, 2,680 residents of Australia were born in Bulgaria. Of these, 850 lived in New South Wales, 840 in Victoria, 340 in Queensland and 340 in South Australia. Some 4,870 people indicated full or partial Bulgarian ancestry. Unofficial estimates claim that the number of Bulgarians in Australia is higher.
The Wine Museum is a museum of wine and viticulture located in Pleven, a city in north central Bulgaria. Opened on 17 September 2008, the museum occupies a natural cave in Pleven's Kaylaka park, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the city centre.
The Bulgarian Scenthound is a dog breed from Bulgaria. It originated in the Ludogorie region of northern Bulgaria, and is the most widely distributed smooth-haired hunting dog in Bulgaria. It is a non-standardised breed but conforms to hound body morphology.
