Including the 2023-2024 season, Crewe Alexandra has played in 101 Football League seasons. The club has never played in the top flight, and has played only 12 seasons in the second tier (four, from 1892 to 1896, when there were only two divisions); 48 seasons have been in the third tier (30 when there were only three tiers), and 41 in the fourth tier. [4] In total, Crewe has played in the bottom division of the Football League in 75 out of 101 seasons.

  1. 1 2 3 4 Upon its formation in 1992, the Premier League became the top tier of English football; the Football League First, Second and Third Divisions then became the second, third and fourth tiers, respectively. [2] From 2004, the First Division became the Championship, the Second Division became League One and the Third Division became League Two. [3]
  2. Crewe originally lost 23 to Swifts F.C. in the Fourth Round Replay, but the game was declared void, and replayed. Crewe won the replay 21.

The 1963–64 season was Port Vale's 52nd season of football in the English Football League, and their fifth season in the Third Division. Freddie Steele spent big on transfers, bringing in players such as Billy Bingham, Albert Cheesebrough, and Jackie Mudie. However, it was a disappointing season in the league and a disaster financially. The highlights of the season came in the FA Cup, where Vale beat top-flight Birmingham City at St Andrew's, and drew 0–0 with Liverpool at Anfield.

Adam James Armstrong is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for EFL Championship club Southampton.

Paul Philip Mullin is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for EFL League Two club Wrexham. He is a product of the Everton, Liverpool, and Huddersfield Town academies.

Elliott Lloyd Nevitt is an English professional footballer who plays for League Two side Crewe Alexandra as a striker.
