The Geelong Football Club, nicknamed the Cats, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The club competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition.
Justin Mark Madden is a former Australian rules footballer and state politician. He played for the Essendon Football Club and the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
After his retirement in 1997, Madden decided to enter Victorian politics, using the experience gained from his presidency of the AFL Players Association to run for candidacy as an Australian Labor Party member. He served in both the Victorian Legislative Assembly and Victorian Legislative Council before retiring from office in November 2014. Madden is also a registered architect in the State of Victoria.

Brian Carlyle Cook is a Scottish-born Australian businessman and former Australian rules football player and coach who is the current chief executive officer (CEO) of the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Cook played for a number of different clubs in several Australian states and territories, including the Box Hill Football Club in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), the Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and the East Perth and Subiaco Football Clubs in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL), and later captain-coached the Ainslie Football Club in the Australian Capital Territory Football League (ACTFL). After his retirement from coaching, Cook occupied positions with the Australian Sports Commission and the West Australian Football Commission, before being appointed CEO of the West Coast Eagles in 1990. He quit this position in 1998 to take up the same role with Geelong Football Club. At the conclusion of the 2021 AFL season, he took the CEO position at the Carlton Football Club.
Thomas Harley is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club and the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A defender at 1.93 metres and 95 kilograms (209 lb), Harley is a two-time premiership-winning captain at Geelong.
Ross Graham Oakley is an Australian businessman and former Australian rules footballer with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He is CEO of the Victorian Rugby Union and was appointed CEO of the new the Melbourne Rebels rugby union franchise in September 2010.
Cameron Ling is a former Australian rules footballer and three-time premiership player who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A tagger at 1.89 metres and 94 kilograms (207 lb), Ling was also a premiership-winning captain at the club in 2011.

He is a former chief financial officer and board member of Anglo-Australian resources companies Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton, and a CEO of Transurban. Lynch was a member of the AFL Commission between 2008 and 2014. He played five matches for Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League.
