As a director and screenwriter, Vuoksenmaa prefers the comedy genre because to her comedy means relief, forgiveness and defense. She does not use casting agencies but prefers to cast actors to her films herself, since she thinks that it creates a level of trust between the actor and the director.

Presidential elections were held in Finland on 28 January 2018. The incumbent Sauli Niinistö received 62.7% of the vote and was elected for a second term, avoiding a second round. The term is from 1 March 2018 to 1 February 2024 (if 2024 presidential election doesn't go to a second ballot) or 1 March 2024. Although the President is elected by direct election, Niinistö gained a plurality in all municipalities and a majority in all but 13 municipalities.

<i>Reunion</i> (2015 film) 2015 Finnish film

Reunion is a 2015 Finnish comedy film directed by Taneli Mustonen. It’s the story of three men, Antti, Niklas and Tuomas, traveling back to their old hometown to attend a high school class party, with the goal of realizing a wild weekend of freedom and fun. The film is starring by Sami Hedberg, Aku Hirviniemi and Jaajo Linnonmaa. The film is a Finnish remake of the 2011 Danish comedy film Klassefesten.

<i>Reunion 3: Singles Cruise</i> 2021 Finnish film

Reunion 3: Singles Cruise is a 2021 Finnish comedy film directed by Renny Harlin. It is the third entry of the Reunion film series, and the only film in the film series that Taneli Mustonen, who directed the previous films, was not involved in making. In the film, friends Tuomas and Niklas take their mutual friend Antti, who suffers from unemployment and loneliness, on a single cruise to improve his self-esteem and mental health, with bad consequences. Like the previous film, the sequel stars Sami Hedberg, Aku Hirviniemi and Jaajo Linnonmaa.

<i>Finders of the Lost Yacht</i> Finnish film from 2021

Finders of the Lost Yacht is a Finnish film written and directed by Taavi Vartia. The film draws inspiration from the Finnish children's book series Pertsa ja Kilu by Väinö Riikkilä and specifically from the novel Viimeiset kaanit. The film follows the adventures of two best friends, Pertsa and Kilu, as they embark on a search for a lost treasure while trying to evade a robber.

<i>The Hair</i> (film) 1974 Finnish film

The Hair is a 1974 Finnish erotic dark comedy thriller film written, produced and directed by Seppo Huunonen. It was loosely based on Lionel White's 1962 suspense novel Obsession, like Jean-Luc Godard's 1965 French film Pierrot le Fou. It tells the story of a middle-aged man who becomes deeply involved with the affairs and criminal connections of a mysterious girl. The main roles are played by Mikko Majanlahti and dancer Arja Virtanen, of which The Hair was the actress's only film. Virtanen's voice has been replaced by the voice of actress Tiia Louste.
