João de Barros, nicknamed the "Portuguese Livy", is one of the first great Portuguese historians, most famous for his Décadas da Ásia, a history of the Portuguese in India, Asia, and southeast Africa.
Portuguese music includes many different styles and genres, as a result of its history. These can be broadly divided into classical music, traditional/folk music and popular music and all of them have produced internationally successful acts, with the country seeing a recent expansion in musical styles, especially in popular music.
Feijoada is a stew of beans with beef and pork. The name feijoada is derived from feijão, 'bean' in Portuguese. Varieties are prepared in the Portuguese-speaking world. The basic ingredients of feijoada are beans and fresh pork or beef. Beef is usual in halal and kosher varieties, which never include pork for religious reasons.
Ziraldo Alves Pinto, known mononymously as Ziraldo, was a Brazilian author, painter, comics creator, and journalist. His books have sold about ten million copies, have been translated to many foreign languages and adapted to the theater and cinema. His children's books, such as the popular O Menino Maluquinho, have also been the basis of successful films and television series in Brazil.
Terras de Bouro is a municipality in the district of Braga in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 7,253, in an area of 277.46 km². It is bordered to the north by Ponte da Barca and Spain, to the east by Montalegre, to the south by Vieira do Minho, to the southwest by Amares, and to the west by Vila Verde.
São Miguel do Araguaia is a city in northwest Goiás state, Brazil. It is the northernmost municipality in Goiás, one of the largest too, and a major producer of cattle.
Quarteto 1111 was a Portuguese progressive rock and psychedelic rock band founded in Estoril in 1967. Originally it was formed by Miguel Artur da Silveira (drums), José Cid, António Moniz Pereira (guitar) and Jorge Moniz Pereira (bass). Later members included Tozé Brito, Mike Sergeant and Mário Rui Terra. It was one of the most influential rock bands in the country.

Tonicha is a Portuguese pop-folk singer. She represented Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest 1971, with the song "Menina do alto da serra" ; she finished ninth. She also represented her country in the OTI Festival 1972 in which she had better luck and finished sixth.
Celebridade is a Brazilian telenovela that was produced and aired by TV Globo from 13 October 2003 to 25 June 2004, totaling 221 episodes.
Meus Prêmios Nick, often abbreviated as MPN, was the Brazilian version of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (KCA). The event is one of the largest award shows for children's television in the country. The Brazilian version is one of the eleven countries in the world that holds a localised version of the Kids' Choice Awards. The first bout of the Meus Prêmios Nick was held in 2000, hosted by Márcio Garcia.

Xuxa e os Duendes 2: No Caminho das Fadas is a 2002 Brazilian fantasy adventure children's film directed by Paulo Sérgio de Almeida, Rogério Gomes and Márcio Vito and written by Vivian Perl and Wagner de Assis. It is the sequel to Xuxa e os Duendes (2001). Xuxa Meneghel, Ana Maria Braga, Debby Lagranha, Emiliano Queiroz, Tadeu Mello and Guilherme Karan reprise their respective roles from the first film, joined by Luciano Szafir, Betty Lago, Vera Fischer, Deborah Secco, Thiago Fragoso. In this sequel, Kira (Xuxa), the elf of light, is in charge of saving her friends and mankind from a curse that would petrify the hearts of lovers and end love on the face of the Earth.
Dona Onete is a Brazilian singer and composer. She has been referred to as the "Queen of Carimbó".
Rouge was a Brazilian pop girl group formed in 2002, through the SBT and Disney Channel talent show Popstars produced by RGB. The group comprised singers Aline Wirley, Fantine Thó, Karin Hils, Li Martins and Lu Andrade.
Órfãos da Terra is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by TV Globo, from 2 April 2019 to 27 September 2019. The telenovela is written by Duca Rachid and Thelma Guedes, with Dora Castellar, Aimar Labaki, Carolina Ziskind and Cristina Biscay as co-writers. It is directed by André Câmara and Gustavo Fernandez, and co-directed by Pedro Peregrino, Bruno Safadi, Alexandre Macedo and Lúcio Tavares.
Luiz Carlos Leão Duarte Júnior, better known by his stage name Champignon and also referred to affectionately as Champ or Champs by fans, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter, lyricist, bassist, beatboxer, record label owner and drummer famous for his work with bands Charlie Brown Jr., Revolucionnários, Nove Mil Anjos and A Banca. Music critic Hagamenon Brito considered him one of the three greatest Brazilian pop rock bassists of all time alongside Paulo Roberto Diniz "PJ" Júnior of Jota Quest and Alexandre Dengue of Nação Zumbi, and Emir Ruivo of webzine El Hombre compared him to Red Hot Chili Peppers' Flea. Shortly after his death in 2013, caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound following increasing bouts of anxiety and depression, he was featured in entertainment website Punk Brega's list of the Top 10 Greatest Brazilian Rock Bassists of All Time, in 10th place.
