List of Shropshire County Cricket Club grounds

Shropshire County Cricket Club was established on 28 June 1956. It has since played minor counties cricket from 1957 and played List A cricket from 1974 to 2005, using a different number of home grounds during that time. Their first home minor counties fixture in 1957 was against Staffordshire at The Grove Ground, Market Drayton, while their first List A match came 17 years later against Essex in the 1974 Gillette Cup at Orleton Park, Wellington.

Orleton Park is a cricket ground in Wellington, Shropshire. The ground was established in 1891, when Shropshire played a non first-class match against Worcestershire. It is now home to Wellington Cricket Club whose first team are in the Shropshire Premier League. Peter Byram was groundsman who since his death has been replaced by Steven Gough.

Shrewsbury Road is a cricket ground in Shifnal, Shropshire, England. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1900, when Shifnal played Wolverhampton. Shropshire played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against Cornwall in 1987. From 1987 to present, the ground has hosted 14 Minor Counties Championship matches and 2 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.

Morda Road is a cricket ground in Oswestry, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1964, when Shropshire played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against the Somerset Second XI. From 1964 to 2000, the ground hosted 18 Minor Counties Championship matches. From 2000 to present, the ground has 6 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.

London Road is a cricket ground in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1914, when Shrewsbury Cricket Club played Wem. Shropshire played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against the Nottinghamshire Second XI in 1957. From 1957 to present, the ground has hosted 40 Minor Counties Championship matches. and 9 MCCA Knockout Trophy matches.

Heath Road is a cricket ground in Whitchurch, Shropshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1982, when Whitchurch played Singapore in a warm-up match for the 1982 ICC Trophy. Shropshire played their first match at the ground in the 1999 MCCA Knockout Trophy against Cumberland. The following season they played their first Minor Counties Championship match at the ground against Herefordshire. From 2000 to present, the ground has hosted 10 Minor Counties Championship matches.

Oswestry Cricket Club is an amateur cricket club based in Oswestry, Shropshire. The club was formed in 1855 and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2005 with a fixture against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). Oswestry Cricket Club has four teams which represent them on Saturdays during the cricket season, a "friendly" team that plays on Sundays, and the "Aardvarks" team which plays midweek fixtures. Its home venue is Morda Road in Oswestry. The club has a number of junior teams from which the bulk of its players are traditionally drawn. The club is associated with "The Bedouins Cricket Club" who also play at Morda Road.

Tony Parton is a former English cricketer. Parton was a left-handed batsman. He was born in Wellington, Shropshire.

Derek John Ashley is a former English first-class cricketer. Ashley was a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper. He was born in Whitchurch, Shropshire, educated at Whitchurch Secondary Modern School and played club level for Whitchurch and Shrewsbury Cricket Clubs.

Shropshire is a district with the status of a unitary authority in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, in the West Midlands region of England. It is named after the historic county of Shropshire. It covers the former districts of Bridgnorth, North Shropshire, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Atcham and South Shropshire. These were merged into the modern-day unitary authority of Shropshire. The large town of Telford was not affected by this as it has been a unitary authority since 1996 under Telford and Wrekin borough. It contains 188 civil parishes.
