'Khabar ke sath' is an anthology of telugu short stories written by Dr. T. Srinivasa Murthy.
This was published in the year 2020 by 'Tungabhadra prachuranalu' kurnool.
Dr Srinivasa Murthy is a scholar and researcher in chemistry, working with Sanjay ghodawat university located near kolhapur (Maharashtra). He published his research papers in national and international chemistry journals.
Besides his interest in science
Dr Murthy is a well known telugu poet and short story writer.
The book 'khabar ke saath' consists of fifteen stories written over a period of 42 years. Majority of the stories deals with the socio-economic issues related to andhra pradesh state in general and kurnool district in particular. The telugu dialect belonging to the Rayalaseema region is effectively adopted. Cast oppression of the land lords on scheduled cast is pictured in
"adivodu". The village land Lords try to use the internal differences between maala and madiga communities, provoke one over the other and split the masses. In the early written stories the 'factionism' the characteristic social feature of Rayalaseema is depicted in 'meda meeda vela de katti' and 'devuni manyam'.
Dalit and women issues were the subject running undercurrent in majority of the stories.
In the second phase stories the subjects were much diverse. The privatization of education in andhrapradesh and telangana lead to the running of a parallel system. The government
has lost its control over these. The sufferings of the faculty, the ill culture developed in these systems are being questioned in ' kavudu anunoka kaapati'. During pandemic many private institutions terminated the faculty and bound to 'no work no pay' policy. The employee became help less. The persons who were able to retain their job were also paid half or quarter amount of the committed salary.The difficulties in conducting 'On line classes' were effectively described.
A child-hood memoir like story 'dorlu dorlu pucchakai' is a story related to wild life protection. Author used magic realism like technique to point pot the sale and killing of pangolins in asian subcontinent. A high school child kambagiri is the hero. The author creatively linked extinction of pangolin with the folk story of local god kambagiri swami (who appear as a monitor lizard).
The title story ' kabar ke saath' is about the suffering of a mother of kashmir who lost her child. The stoppage of internet, a continuous curfew in the vally lead to a psychological disaster. Parents are waiting for their children for the past few years. The pathetic conditions
were emotionally pictured in the story. Dr Murthy did not visit kashmir till now yet generalizing the human emotions he could reach the hights of creativity.
All the stories of this book were published in telugu daily , weekly, monthly magazines and web magazines.

The film is an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment (1866). The film received positive reviews from critics. The film was remade in Tamil as Needhikku Thalaivanangu and in Hindi as Shikshaa.
