List of Wii games using WiiConnect24

This is a list of games on the Wii video game console that use WiiConnect24. WiiConnect24 games are distinguished from Wii Wi-Fi Connection games in that WiiConnect24 support only allows for passive connection between players, such as the sharing of credits in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption or Metroid Prime: Trilogy . Some games support both active connectivity with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (requiring an independent 12-digit Friend Code), as well as passive connectivity with WiiConnect24 (only needing the Wii's own 16-digit Friend Code), such as Mario Kart Wii .

After Nintendo's termination of the WiiConnect24 service on June 28, 2013, the following game titles remain virtually playable, but their online connectivity and functionality that requires use of WiiConnect24 are rendered defunct after the ending of the WiiConnect24 service.

In Japan, the discount label was introduced in 2015 for various Nintendo 3DS titles as the Happy Price Selection, although South Korea adopted the Nintendo Selects name at an earlier period. The most recent Nintendo Selects titles were released for the Wii U and 3DS and, as of January 2024, no Nintendo Switch games have been rebranded as Nintendo Selects.

Ridley (<i>Metroid</i>) Fictional antagonist of the Metroid franchise

Ridley, also known by his aliases Geoform 187 and the Cunning God of Death, is a fictional supervillain and one of the main antagonists of the Metroid series. An evil and aggressive draconic extraterrestrial hailing from the planet Zebes, he became Samus Aran's archnemesis after murdering the latter's parents as he led a Space Pirate raid on her homeworld. Though having been destroyed numerous times by Samus, he is always resurrected, due in equal part to Space Pirate engineering and his natural regenerative ability, which allows him to swiftly recover from what would otherwise be fatal wounds as long as he is able to consume enough biomatter from his fallen adversaries.

Retro Studios, Inc. is an American video game developer and subsidiary of Nintendo based in Austin, Texas. The studio is best known for its work on the Metroid Prime and Donkey Kong Country series, and has contributed to several other Nintendo-developed projects, such as Mario Kart 7.

Super Smash Bros. is a crossover platform fighting game series published by Nintendo. The series was created by Masahiro Sakurai, who has directed every game in the series. The series is known for its unique gameplay objective which differs from that of traditional fighters, in that the aim is to increase damage counters and knock opponents off the stage instead of depleting life bars.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is a 2007 action-adventure game developed by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo for the Wii. The seventh main game in the Metroid series, it was released in North America and Europe in 2007 and in Japan the following year.

The Wii Menu is the graphical shell of the Wii and Wii U game console, as part of the Wii system software. It has four pages, each with a 4:3 grid, and each displaying the current time and date. The grid is customizable; users can move channels among the menu's 48 customizable slots. By pressing the plus and minus buttons on the Wii Remote users can scroll across accessing empty slots.
