Angola, officially the Republic of Angola, is a country in south-central Africa bordered by Namibia on the south, Democratic Republic of the Congo on the north, and Zambia on the east; its west coast is on the Atlantic Ocean. The exclave province of Cabinda has a border with the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Angola is divided into eighteen provinces and 163 municipalities. The country's official language is Portuguese and its capital is Luanda.

Santa Maria Airport is an international airport located 5 km (3.1 mi) west northwest of the urbanized area of Vila do Porto on the island of Santa Maria, in the Portuguese autonomous region of the Azores. A principal hub in transatlantic travel until the end of the 20th century, it was constructed at the start of the Second World War to protect convoys by American troops who were ceded authority until its end. N'Dolo Airport, also known as Ndolo Airport, is a secondary airport in the city of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, located in the commune of Barumbu near the city center.

Empresa Nacional de Navegação Aérea - Empresa Pública - ENANA is a publicly owned company operating the airports in Angola and controlling the civil air traffic in Angola. The company was created by decree No. 14 on February 13, 1980, separating the day-to-day operations from the Direcção Nacional da Aviação Civil within the transport ministry. ENANA is a Empresa Publica under the transport ministry.
