The Thai Ambassador to the Court of St James's in London is the official representative of the Government in Bangkok to the Government of the United Kingdom and concurrently to the Government of Denmark. The position is held by Thani Thongphakdi, who presented his credentials to King Charles III on February 6, 2023. [1]

The first siamese banknote in the reign of Phraya Phahon Phonphayuhasena was printed before the war. Banknotes of the price of 50 Satang Khun Somboon Hattra (Pho Proact) Minister of Finance. Vajiravudh was the sixth monarch of Siam under the Chakri dynasty as Rama VI. He ruled from 23 October 1910 until his death in 1925. King Vajiravudh is best known for his efforts to create and promote Siamese nationalism. His reign was characterized by Siam's movement further towards democracy and minimal participation in World War I. He had keen interests in Siamese history, archaeology, and literature, as well as economics, politics and world affairs, and founded the country's first university, Chulalongkorn University.

The Anglo-Siamese Treaty of 1909 or Bangkok Treaty of 1909 was a treaty between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Siam signed on 10 March 1909, in Bangkok. Ratifications were exchanged in London on 9 July 1909, and the treaty established the modern Malaysia–Thailand border. The area around modern Pattani, Narathiwat, southernmost Songkhla, Satun, and Yala remained under Thai control, where decades later the South Thailand insurgency would erupt. Thailand relinquished its claims to sovereignty over Kedah, Kelantan, Perlis and Terengganu which entered the British sphere of influence as protectorates. These four states, along with Johor, later became known as the Unfederated Malay States.

Gustave Henri Ange Hippolyte Rolin-Jaequemyns was a Belgian lawyer, diplomat and Minister of the Interior (1878–1884) as a member of the Unitarian Liberal Party. Together with the Swiss jurist Gustave Moynier, he founded the Institut de Droit International and became its first Honorary President.

The Sultanate of Singora was a heavily fortified port city in southern Thailand and the precursor of the present-day town of Songkhla. It was founded in the early 17th century by a Persian, Dato Mogol, and flourished during the reign of his son, Sultan Sulaiman Shah. In 1680, after decades of conflict, the city was destroyed and abandoned; remains include forts, city walls, a Dutch cemetery and the tomb of Sultan Sulaiman Shah. Jens Iverson Westengard was an American legal scholar and diplomat. Thani Thongphakdi is a Thai diplomat and the Thai Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland since 2022. Thongphakdi previously served as the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs from 2020 to 2022, and as Thai Ambassador to the United States from 2019 to 2020.
