This is a list of Japanese erotic video games, also known in Japan as eroge . This list does not include fan created parodies. The market in Japan for this type of game is quite large, and only a small number of the games gain any level of recognition beyond the fans of the genre.
Mariko Kouda is a Japanese actress, voice actress, J-pop singer and radio personality. She graduated from Kasukabe Kyōei High School and went on to major in Communications at Tamagawa University in Machida City, Tokyo, graduating in 1990. Kouda has had at least one song appear on the program Minna no Uta.
Navel is a Japanese label of Omega Vision Inc. a publisher of bishōjo and eroge visual novel games. Its name is a reference to the navel orange.
Comp Ace is a Japanese computer game and manga magazine published by Kadokawa Shoten. Comp Ace began as a special edition version of another one of Kadokawa Shoten's magazines, Comptiq. The first issue was released on March 26, 2005, and was published quarterly for the first three volumes which had cover illustrations by Itaru Hinoue of Key. Volumes four through nine were published bimonthly with cover art provided by Aoi Nishimata of Navel. Volume ten was published three months after volume nine, and from ten on the magazine was published monthly, now with new cover art by Naru Nanao, Hiro Suzuhira, and illustrators from Type-Moon and August. Starting with the August 2007 issue published on June 26, 2007, Comp Ace broke off from Comptiq and became its own magazine. Its main focus is on bishōjo games and manga that are based on said games.
Yui Sakakibara is a Japanese voice actress, choreographer, dancer and singer from Hyōgo Prefecture. She appeared on Kōhaku Uta Gassen as background dancer behind Ami Suzuki in 1999 and 2000. She used the name Mayo Hinano and others in her previous roles. She is also credited as FES from the band "Phantasm" (ファンタズム) in the Science Adventure visual novel series, which is a stage name of her character Ayase Kishimoto from Chaos;Head.
Hitomi is a Japanese voice actress from Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She has also done voice work, especially in eroge, under the name Minami Hokuto. She is married to fellow voice actor Kazuya Ichijō.
CooRie is a self-produced Japanese music unit by singer-songwriter Rino that performs songs for anime and games. CooRie used to be a two-person unit when it debuted in 2003, with Rino doing the lyrics and vocals and Naoyuki Osada doing the music compositions and arrangements. After Osada left by the end of 2003, Rino maintained the name CooRie and composed the music by herself, although she sometimes sings under her own name, especially if the song is for adult games. CooRie's records are released under Lantis and Mellow Head.
Kazuya Kuroda is a Japanese animator, character designer and illustrator. He made with his debut with the Gainax series, Top o Nerae! and Fushigi no Umi no Nadia, to which he contributed the in-between and key animation respectively. He was then the character designer and the chief animation director of Gonzo's Vandread, where his style of art and animation, especially of the female characters, brought him a great number of fans and renown.
Miya Serizono is a female Japanese voice actress specializing in voicing characters in adult video games.
Chata is a Japanese singer who has performed theme songs for video games and anime series. She has also participated in various dōjin music circles. Her own private circle is called Usagi Kinoko.
Lunkhead (ランクヘッド) is a Japanese rock band signed under Victor Entertainment and is managed by Chockyu co. ltd. The band played its first show during their high school graduation ceremony in 1999.
Imagin Co., Ltd is a Japanese anime studio located in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. The company was established on June 15, 1992, by Akio Sakai, the current president, who had previously worked for Mushi Production, and Madhouse. The studio left the main television animation industry in 2011, but continues to produce animated works under its subsidiary A1C, which consists of several sub-labels, almost all of which are adult animation brands. Biscotti, ChuChu, Collaboration Works, Dark Shelf, Grand Cru, Grand Cru Borugeois, Grand Cru Noir, Majin, Nikihime no Dozeu, Nur, PoRO, Prime Time, Shelf, An DerCen and Suzuki Mirano are all labels owned by A1C and Imagin. Imagin's CEO, Akio Sakai, serves as the CEO of A1C, as well. In 1999, the studio also established Korean animation studio ANIK as a subsidiary company.
Ceui is a Japanese singer–songwriter originally from Chiba, Japan, though she grew up in Fukuoka. Ceui's name is derived from the Portuguese word for sky, céu. She has been singing since 2000, but made her major debut in 2007 singing the ending theme for the anime series Shattered Angels, and since then has done songs for other anime including Sola, Sora o Miageru Shōjo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai, Sora Kake Girl, and Aoi Hana. She has released eleven singles and released her major debut album Glassy Heaven on July 22, 2009.
Mayumi Yoshida is a Japanese voice actress. She is also known as Misono Moriya.
Ringo Aoba is a Japanese voice actress from Kagoshima Prefecture.
Lump of Sugar Ltd. is a Japanese company specializing in adult visual novels. Founded in April 2005, their first game, Nursery Rhyme was released later that year. Their third work, Tayutama: Kiss on my Deity, was released in 2008, and was later adapted into an anime and manga.
Maya Suzuya is a Japanese voice actress mainly for adult games. She was affiliated With Atelier Peach, now she is a freelancer.
Natsuki Tanihara is a Japanese manga artist, but is better known as character designer of visual novels. She is the artist for the media franchise Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, and is often considered the artistic successor to Naru Nanao for the Da Capo franchise.
