Gulab Mikrani is the president of Rastriya Jana Bikas Party and its party office is located at Birgunj-18 Parsa. Table is the election symbol of this party. The party stayed at 98th position among 122 parties which participated in the Constituent Assembly election 2013. There is no any representative from this party in constituent assembly. This party's chairman Gulab Mikrani has signed a merger paper with Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi party of Rizwan Ansari on October 10, 2017, before the parliamentary election. Gulab Mikrani was contested a poll for candidate of provincial parliamentary election 2017 from Sarlahi District 2(Kha) constituency number of the province 2. And He remains at 4th position following a moist center candidate.

The first Province No. 1 Provincial Assembly was elected by the 2017 provincial elections. 93 members were elected to the assembly, 56 of whom were elected through direct elections and 37 of whom were elected through the party list proportional representation system. The term of the assembly started on 5 February 2018 and ended in September 2022. Sher Dhan Rai and Bhim Acharya served as chief ministers from CPN and Rajendra Kumar Rai served as chief minister from CPN during the term of the assembly. Pradeep Kumar Bhandari served as the speaker of the assembly and Saraswati Pokharel served as deputy speaker.

Shri Prasad Mainali is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the CPN. He was a member of the 1st Koshi Provincial Assembly. In the 2017 Nepalese provincial elections, he won the election for Jhapa 1 (A).
