Jeffrey Eugene Mullis is an American politician who is a former member of the Georgia State Senate. A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 53rd district from 2001 to 2023 after an unsuccessful run for state senator in 1998.

John Albers is a Georgia State Senator serving the 56th District, which encompasses portions of Fulton, Cobb and Cherokee Counties.

The Georgia General Assembly first started in 1751, but wasn't active until 1777, when Georgia became one of the Thirteen Colonies and broke away from Great Britain. The 2nd Georgia General Assembly followed two years later. It took place sometime in January, in Savannah, which was the capital of Georgia at the time. The capital was moved to its present location, Atlanta, in 1868. The Assembly has been held once every two years starting in 1777. The Assembly elected the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate.

Earl LeRoy "Buddy" Carter is an American pharmacist and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Georgia's 1st congressional district since 2015. The district is based in Savannah and includes most of the state's coastal southern portion. A member of the Republican Party, Carter served as a Georgia state representative (2005–2009) and Georgia state senator (2009–2014).

Cecil Terrell "Butch" Miller is an American politician. A Republican, he was a member of the Georgia State Senate from 2010 to 2023, elected from the 49th district. Miller unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination in the 2022 Georgia lieutenant gubernatorial election.

Robertson is a retired law enforcement officer and attended Command College at Columbus State University and the FBI National Academy.
