Heydar Aliyev International Airport is one of the seven international airports serving Azerbaijan. Heydar Aliyev International Airport is the busiest airport both in Azerbaijan and in the South Caucasus as well as one of the busiest in the post-Soviet countries. Formerly, it was called Bina International Airport after a suburb of the Azerbaijan capital Baku. On 10 March 2004, the airport was renamed after the former president of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. The airport is 20 kilometers northeast of Baku, connected to the city by a highway. It serves as the hub for national carrier Azerbaijan Airlines as well as for Azal Avia Cargo, Buta Airways and Silk Way West Airlines.

Lahıc is a village and municipality on the southern slopes of Greater Caucasus within the Ismailli Rayon of Azerbaijan. Population is approximately 860 people who speak the Tat language, also known as Tati Persian, a Southwestern Iranian language spoken by the Tats of Azerbaijan and Russia.

Museum of local history of Lahij village – was founded in 1985 and located in Lahıc village in Ismailli rayon of Azerbaijan. Aliyev Maarif Aghamehedi oglu is a main keeper of the museum.

Yalchin Vasif oghlu Adigezalov is Azerbaijani conductor and teacher. People's Artist of Azerbaijan. Adigezalov is a professor at the State Music Academy of Azerbaijan, the Baku Music Academy and Azerbaijan State Conservatory. He is a member of the third generation of a famous musical dynasty.

Isgender Aznaurov is a National Hero of Azerbaijan, and the warrior of the First Nagorno-Karabakh War.
