Elizabeth "Lizzy" Plapinger, known professionally as LPX when performing as a solo artist, is the lead vocalist of indie pop duo MS MR and co-owner of boutique record label Neon Gold Records. [1]
Now based in New York, Plapinger comes from London. She went to Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York where she met MS MR partner Max Hershenow. Plapinger had played saxophone in a middle-school band and learned to play drums in college. During her sophomore year, she started the record label, Neon Gold, with Derek Davies. The label specialized in releasing limited-run, seven-inch singles and helped launch the careers of Passion Pit, Ellie Goulding, and Marina and the Diamonds. [2] Since then, Neon Gold Records has partnered with Atlantic Records. [3] Plapinger has worked with fashion brands including Stella McCartney, Gucci, and Marc Jacobs. [4]
In January 2017 Plapinger released the single "Tightrope" using the name LPX. [5] In April of the same year, the second single "Tremble" appeared, [6] followed by the single "Slide", the following November. In January 2018, her debut EP as a solo artist, called “Bolt in the Blue”, was released.[ citation needed ]

An extended play (EP) is a musical recording that contains more tracks than a single but fewer than an album or LP record. Contemporary EPs generally contain four to five tracks, and are considered "less expensive and time-consuming" for an artist to produce than an album. An EP originally referred to specific types of records other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) and LP, but it is now applied to mid-length CDs and downloads as well. In K-pop they are usually referred to as mini albums. Ricardo Baca of The Denver Post said, "EPs—originally extended-play 'single' releases that are shorter than traditional albums—have long been popular with punk and indie bands." In the United Kingdom, the Official Chart Company defines a boundary between EP and album classification at 25 minutes of maximum length and no more than four tracks.
Cocteau Twins were a Scottish rock band active from 1979 to 1997. They were formed in Grangemouth by Robin Guthrie and Will Heggie (bass), adding Elizabeth Fraser (vocals) in 1981 and replacing Heggie with multi-instrumentalist Simon Raymonde in 1983. The solo project is the brainchild of Dutch artist Nick van Hofwegen, described as a "double threat" in art and music by the Wall Street Journal, who is responsible for the project's musical composition, production, and performance, as well as all artwork. Candy Bar Creep Show is the debut extended play (EP) by American alternative rock band MS MR. It was released on vinyl and digital download formats by IAMSOUND Records on September 14, 2012. In Germany, the EP was issued as a CD under the name Hurricane – (the) Candy Bar Creep Show on January 18, 2013. The German maxi CD version of their single "Hurricane" had reached No. 38 in the charts there. The EP contains four tracks later included on the band's full-length debut album Secondhand Rapture, which was released on May 14, 2013. "Bones" was used in a promotional trailer for the third season of Game of Thrones in early 2013, a commercial for the real-life crime series Cold Justice and an episode of Pretty Little Liars.
