The South Coast Botanic Garden is a 87 acres (35 ha) botanical garden in the Palos Verdes Hills, in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, California, United States, about 10 miles (16 km) south of Los Angeles International Airport. It has over 150,000 landscaped plants and trees from approximately 140 families, 700 genera, and 2,000 different species, including flowering fruit trees, Coast Redwoods, Ginkgos and Pittosporum. It is particularly rich in plants from Australia and South Africa. Its gardens include the Water-wise Garden, Herb Garden, English Rose Garden, and Garden of the Senses. A small lake and stream bed attract various birds such as ducks, geese, coots, and herons. Over 300 species of birds have been recorded. The lake is currently empty.
The R. A. Stranahan Arboretum 47 acres is located at 4131 Tantara Drive, Toledo, Ohio, about a 10-minute drive from the main campus of the University of Toledo. It contains 1,500 specimens of cultivated, mature trees from China, Serbia, Japan, and Norway, as well as North American varieties ranging from Bristlecone Pine to Buckeye.

Barrington Hall is an 1842 Greek Revival-style plantation home, likely built by enslaved Africans and African Americans. It was the residence of Barrington King who, along with his father Roswell King, was the founder of the town of Roswell, in northern Fulton County, Georgia. The house was designed by Willis Ball. It was held by the family until 1995 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Barber-Pittman House in Valdosta, Georgia was built in 1915. It was a work of architect Lloyd Barton Greer. The house was built for E.R. Barber, who was both an inventor and the first Coca-Cola bottler located outside Atlanta. The builder's daughter, Ola Barber Pittman, gave the house to the citizens of Valdosta on the condition that the house would not be sold. The house was restored and is used as the headquarters for the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The listing included three contributing buildings.
