Lodewijk Christiaan van Wachem (born 31 July 1931, Pangkalan Brandan - 24 August 2019, Wassenaar) [1] [2] [ circular reference ] was a Dutch businessman. [3] Born in the birthplace of Royal Dutch Shell, he was appointed a managing director of Royal Dutch Petroleum in 1977. [4] He was the President of Royal Dutch Shell from 1982 until 1992. [5]

The North Star Conference or NSC was a women's conference in the NCAA. The conference existed from the 1983–84 school year through the 1991–92 school year. Originally announced in 1983, the conference was formed by charter members Butler, Dayton, DePaul, Detroit, Evansville, Loyola (Chicago), Notre Dame, and Xavier. Although the conference was to offer competition in cross country, softball, swimming, tennis, and volleyball, the conference was created primarily as a basketball conference. With the exception of Butler and Dayton, all charter members' women's basketball teams were already competing at the NCAA Division I level; Butler and Dayton upgraded their teams from NCAA Division II and commenced competition in the conference's second season. The conference was effectively absorbed by the Mid-Continent Conference, as six of its final seven members moved their women's sports to that organization.

Bruce Edward Kasold is an American lawyer and former judge. He was appointed as a judge to the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims by President George W. Bush in December 2003. He served as the chief judge of the Court from August 2010 to August 2015. Kasold is a graduate of Bishop McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School in Riverhead, New York. He earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1973, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Law School in 1979. Kasold also earned a Master of Laws from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1982 and an Master of Laws equivalent from the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School in 1984.

Eythora Elisabet Thorsdottir is a Dutch gymnast born to Icelandic parents. She competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where she finished ninth in the individual all-around, the highest placing ever for a gymnast from the Netherlands. At the 2017 European Championships, she won a silver medal on balance beam and a bronze medal on floor exercise.

Lisa Evelien Top is a Dutch artistic gymnast. A Senior National Team member since 2012, she participated in both the 2014 and 2015 World Championships as well as the 2015 European Games.
