Logan Thomas Clark (born February 16, 1985 in Rochester, Minnesota) is an American professional mixed martial artist who has fought in the UFC and has also competed for the World Extreme Cagefighting and World Victory Road.
Born in Southeastern Minnesota, Clark was raised on a farm north of Dover, MN. In 1987, at the age of 1, Clark's father died leaving his mother to raise the family. Clark has 3 siblings: Tyrel Clark, Doron Clark, and Amanda Clark. In 1993, his family moved to Eyota, MN.
After graduating from Dover-Eyota High School, where he was coached by Minnesota Wrestling Hall of Fame coach Mike Mazzitelli, Clark attended Hamline University in Saint Paul, MN for one year and was a member of the football and track teams. He then transferred to Saint Cloud State University where he was a part of the wrestling team. After one semester, he left to attend Rochester Community and Technical College for one semester before transferring to Winona State University in the fall of 2005. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts & Literature and is an English teacher at Dover-Eyota High School.
Clark is a mixed martial artist and a coach with Compound MMA, a team of fighters that compete in mixed martial arts (MMA). His training time is split between Compound MMA and the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy in Brooklyn Center, MN. Clark's MMA style is freestyle wrestling and ground and pound and as of August 2012 he had an MMA record of 17-5, he has only been knocked unconscious once in his career, against journeyman and current Bellator MMA fighter Jason Guida brother of current UFC veteran and former Strikeforce champion Clay Guida. Frank Shamrock is an American former professional mixed martial artist. Shamrock was the first to hold the UFC Middleweight Championship and retired a four-time defending undefeated champion. Shamrock was the No. 1 ranked pound for pound UFC fighter in the world during his reign as the UFC Middleweight Champion. Shamrock has won numerous titles in other martial arts organizations, including the interim King of Pancrase title, the WEC Light Heavyweight Championship and the Strikeforce Middleweight Championship. Shamrock is regarded as one of the first complete mixed martial artists, having adapted his game from a ground-focused style of fighting to a more well-rounded and versatile style.

The Minnesota Martial Arts Academy is a martial arts training center in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. It was founded in 1992 by Greg Nelson, a former NCAA Division 1 wrestler at the University of Minnesota.
Sean Keith Sherk is a retired American mixed martial artist and former UFC Lightweight Champion. Sherk competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and was one of the first combatants to have been a championship competitor in multiple weight divisions. He was the second UFC Lightweight Champion in the organization's history after Jens Pulver vacated his title five years earlier. Sherk also spent time competing in the Japan-based organizations, PRIDE Fighting Championships and Pancrase; going undefeated in both promotions. Michael Thomas Brown is an American mixed martial arts trainer and former fighter who is the head MMA coach for American Top Team. Zhang Tiequan, or Zhang Tie Quan, often anglicized to Tiequan Zhang, is a Chinese mixed martial artist, who last competed as a Lightweight in the UFC. A professional competitor since 2005, Tiequan spent most of the beginning of his career fighting in the Art of War Fighting Championship in his native China, until he signed with WEC in the United States. He is notable for being the first fighter from China to be signed to the UFC and the first to win a bout with the promotion.
