Logan Sama

Logan Sama is an English Grime DJ and esports commentator from Brentwood, Essex. He has appeared regularly throughout his career on radio stations Rinse, Kiss 100 and BBC Radio 1. He also runs the record labels Adamantium Music, Earth616 [1] and KeepinItGrimy through which he has released projects for artists and producers across vinyl and digital formats. He also founded KeepinItGrimy, a brand entirely focused on Grime activity.

Career

Shortly after being announced as taking up a new regular weekly show on Friday nights on BBC Radio 1Xtra,[ when? ] the BBC released a statement that Logan would no longer be hosting the show. A statement from Logan referenced a number of publicly visible tweets made between 2011 and 2015 that perpetuated negative stereotypes offensive to women, specifically of mixed black heritage, that were brought to the attention of the BBC who made the decision he would be unsuitable to join the network. Subsequently, he also left the BBC Radio 1 Residency position. [2]

On June 29, 2018, he did commentary for New Japan Pro Wrestling during their CEOxNJPW: When Worlds Collide show [3] and for All Elite Wrestling (AEW) during the Fyter Fest pre-show on June 29, 2019. [4]

Personal life

Outside of music, Logan is most known for his love of trainers. Focusing predominantly on Nike Air Maxes, his collection is very large, and he is an active member in the Sneaker Culture community. He was once personally given a pair of Off White Nike Air Max 90s by Virgil Abloh. [5]

Logan enjoys video games, in particular the Street Fighter series. He has become a prominent member of the competitive community and regularly commentates competitive Street Fighter events across the world, often working with Femi “F-Word” Adeboye. He hosts a weekly show for Capcom UK on their Twitch and YouTube channel. He has been a commentator for some of the most prestigious events such as Capcom Cup Finals held in San Francisco, California, Red Bull Kumite and EVO. He is currently part of the semi-regular Gfinity Elite Series show as a commentator for their Street Fighter V broadcasts. [6] [7] Logan also organises events for the Street Fighter community under the WinnerStaysOn brand. These have been held at the Red Bull Gaming Sphere and Capcom UK's London office. He is also a supporter of West Ham United F.C. [8]

They have received extensive airplay on Rinse FM, BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and NTS, and have supported AJ Tracey on tour. In 2017, they appeared at several festivals including Glastonbury, Cambridge's Strawberries and Creem and Bristol's Love Saves the Day. In 2018, they played at Detonate Festival in Nottingham, Helios Festival in Corfu, Pop-Kultur in Germany, and Outlook Festival in Croatia.

The name, slogan, and logo of the event parodied the fraudulent Fyre Festival. The event aired for free on the B/R Live streaming service in North America and was available through pay-per-view internationally. It was the second edition of CEO's professional wrestling event at the Ocean Center, following the previous year's CEOxNJPW: When Worlds Collide, which was in co-sponsorship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).

AEW Dynamite, also known as Wednesday Night Dynamite or simply Dynamite, is an American professional wrestling television program produced by the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It airs live every Wednesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on TBS, with some exceptions. The show premiered on October 2, 2019, and is considered AEW's flagship program. It is one of the company's three weekly programs, along with its second main program, Saturday Night Collision, and Friday Night Rampage, which focuses on younger wrestlers in the company. The 2020 Fyter Fest was the second annual Fyter Fest professional wrestling event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The event aired on TNT as a series of television special episodes of AEW's weekly television program, Dynamite. The two-week event took place at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida and was broadcast on July 1 and 8, 2020. While night 1 aired live, night 2 was pre-recorded on July 2 and aired on July 8.

Pa Salieu Gaye is a British rapper and singer. In January 2020, he released his debut single "Frontline", which was the most-played track of 2020 on BBC Radio 1Xtra. He has since featured on songs with South London's SL for "Hit the Block", Meekz, M1llionz and Teeway for "Year of the Real" and joined BackRoad Gee and Ambush for the remix to "Party Popper". He has collaborated with artists such as FKA Twigs and Yasin. His style is renowned for blending elements of Afro-beats, grime and UK drill. In June 2020, he released "Betty" and "Bang Out". He released his debut mixtape titled Send Them to Coventry on 13 November 2020.

Resurgence was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). It was held on August 14, 2021, at The Torch at LA Coliseum in Los Angeles, California. Wrestlers from U.S. partner promotions All Elite Wrestling (AEW), Impact Wrestling, Major League Wrestling (MLW), the United Wrestling Network's Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH), and Ring of Honor (ROH) appeared on the card.
