Liliyana Natsir Badminton player

Liliyana Natsir is a retired Indonesian badminton player who specialized in doubles. With one gold and silver from the Olympic Games, and four gold medals at the BWF World Championships, she is regarded as one of the greatest mixed doubles players of all-time. Natsir was the second Indonesian woman Olympic gold medalist, after Susi Susanti won gold in 1992. She gained huge success by partnering with two different players. Her last partner was Tontowi Ahmad after being separated from her previous partner, Nova Widianto. She also won three titles in a row from 2012–2014 at All England Badminton Championships, one of the most prestigious and oldest tournament in the sport. Her tactical awareness, game vision, and dominance at the front court are considered as one of the best in the tour. In 2016, she and Tontowi Ahmad became the first Indonesian mixed doubles pair to win gold medal at the Olympic Games after beating Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying of Malaysia. As of 2019, she holds the highest number of BWF World Championship titles for mixed doubles.

The BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix was a series of badminton tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF) which was run from 2007 to 2017.

Ma Jin Badminton player

Ma Jin is a female badminton player from China who specialises in women's doubles and mixed doubles. She partnered Wang Xiaoli in women's doubles and excelled in the category until 2010 when both players are split after China failed to defend their Uber Cup against South Korea in Kuala Lumpur. Consequently, Ma Jin was unable to continue competing in the women's doubles event without her regular partner and she had to concentrate on mixed doubles instead. Ma Jin had tasted successes in mixed with several partners, notably Zheng Bo, He Hanbin and Xu Chen. Her domination at the front of the court combined with the power play from Xu Chen made them one of the most dominant Chinese pairs to date, the other being Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei.

Xu Chen Badminton player

Xu Chen is a badminton player from China. In 2010, he was ranked within the top 10 men's badminton doubles in the world. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the mixed doubles with Ma Jin, winning the silver medal. In the final they lost to Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei, also from China. He married a former Chinese national badminton team player, Pan Pan in June 3, 2014.

Sapsiree Taerattanachai is a Thai badminton player who competed at the 2014 Asian Games and the 2016 Olympics. In 2009, she was a semi-finalist in girls' doubles at the World Junior Championships, and the following year, she was runner-up at the Asian Junior Championships. She won gold at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. In 2014, Sapsiree became the first player ever to become a Grand Prix Gold finalist in all three disciplines. She won the women's doubles title at the 2012 India Open Grand Prix Gold, then the women's singles title at the 2013 U.S. Open Grand Prix Gold, then was runner-up at the 2014 U.S. Open Grand Prix Gold. With her mixed doubles victory at the 2017 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold, she did one better and became the first player to win Grand Prix Gold titles in all three disciplines.

Son Wan-ho Badminton player

The Korea Masters is an international badminton tournament that usually held in November or December every year of BWF event calendar in South Korea. The total prize money in 2016 was US$120,000. Before 2010, the level of the tournament was an International Challenge, which is the fourth level tournament of international badminton tournament. It began in 2007, when it was held in Suwon, then it moved to Yeosu in 2008 and Hwasun in 2009. In 2010, it was turned into a BWF Grand Prix event.
