Lordship Recreation Ground is a public park in Tottenham, London Borough of Haringey. [1] It is over 20 hectares (49 acres) in size. Access is from Lordship Lane and from opposite Downhills Park in Downhills Park Road. It stretches approximately 750m north-south. The River Moselle runs through the park from west to east and the park also includes a small lake.
The recreation ground opened in 1932, and includes a variety of recreational facilities, including tennis courts and a small theatre. In 1938, the Minister of Transport opened a 'Model Traffic Area', a scaled-down road network where children can use model cars or cycles. The Model Traffic Area was designed to teach children about road traffic in a safe environment. [2] [3]
In 2009, as a result of a public vote, the recreation ground received a £400,000 grant for major refurbishment. [4]
In 2013 the park received a Green Flag Award, [1] and won a gold prize in the London in Bloom awards. [5] Lordship Recreation Ground is protected in perpetuity as a Fields in Trust Queen Elizabeth II Field. [6]

Broadwater Farm, often referred to simply as "The Farm", is an area in Tottenham, North London, straddling the River Moselle. The eastern half of the area is dominated by the Broadwater Farm Estate ("BWFE"), an experiment in high-density social housing, loosely based on Corbusian ideas, dominated by concrete towers connected by walkways, built in the late 1960s using cheap but fire-vulnerable pre-fabricated concrete panels. The western half of the area is taken up by Lordship Recreation Ground, one of north London's largest parks. Broadwater Farm in 2011 had a population of 4,844. The estate is owned by Haringey London Borough Council.
Bruce Castle is a Grade I listed 16th-century manor house in Lordship Lane, Tottenham, London. It is named after the House of Bruce who formerly owned the land on which it is built. Believed to stand on the site of an earlier building, about which little is known, the current house is one of the oldest surviving English brick houses. It was remodelled in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
The River Moselle, also referred to as Moselle Brook, is in North London and flows through Tottenham towards the Lea Valley. The river was originally a tributary of the River Lea, but it now flows into Pymmes Brook, another Lea tributary.
Lordship Lane connects Wood Green (N22) with Tottenham High Road (N17). It lies in the London Borough of Haringey and forms part of the A109 road.

Nearby Bruce Castle was named after Robert the Bruce. When Robert became King of Scotland, Edward I seized his English Estates, including the area then known as Bruce Manor. The area is served by Bruce Grove railway station, from where trains go to Liverpool Street, Enfield Town and Cheshunt.

The Northumberland Development Project is a mixed-use development project that centres around the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium which replaced White Hart Lane as the home ground of Tottenham Hotspur. On opening in April 2019, the stadium had a capacity for 62,062 spectators, later increased to 62,303, and was designed to host football as well as NFL games. The development plans also include 585 new homes, a 180-room hotel, a local community health centre, the Tottenham Experience, a Spurs museum and club shop, an extreme sports facility, as well as the Lilywhite House, which contains a Sainsbury's supermarket, a sixth form college and the club's headquarters.
Duckett's Common, together with Green Gate Common, form a public park in Harringay, in the London Borough of Haringey. The park is located opposite Turnpike Lane Underground station, on Green Lanes. It offers several amenities including an outdoor gym and basketball courts.
O. R. Tambo Recreation Ground, previously known as Albert Road Recreation Ground, is a public park in the London Borough of Haringey. The park is 6.39 hectares in size and has many facilities for sports such as tennis, cricket and football. The site is protected by Fields in Trust through a legal "Deed of Dedication" safeguarding the future of the space as public recreation land for future generations to enjoy.
