Grazhdanskaya Oborona, Russian for Civil Defense, or ГО, often referred to as ГрОб, Russian for coffin) were a Soviet-Russian rock band formed by Yegor Letov and Konstantin Ryabinov in Omsk, USSR, in 1984. They were one of the earliest Soviet and Russian psychedelic/punk rock bands. They influenced many Soviet and, subsequently, Russian bands. From the early 1990s, the band's music began to evolve in the direction of psychedelic rock and shoegaze, and band leader Yegor Letov's lyrics became more metaphysical than political.

Diskoteka "Avaria" are a Russian band from Ivanovo, Russia. The trio consists of Anna Khokhlova, Aleksey Borisovich Serov and Aleksey Olegovich Ryzhov. Its former members include vocalist Nikolay Stagoranovich Timofeev, who left in July 2012, and rapper Oleg Yevgenyevich Zhukov, who died on February 9, 2002, of cancer.
Tublatanka is a Slovak rock band formed in the autumn of 1982 in Bratislava, best known for the hits "Pravda víťazí" and "Dnes". The band's classic lineup consisted of Maťo Ďurinda, Palo Horváth, and Juraj "Ďuro" Černý, from 1982 to 1992. In 1992, Horváth left the band. Ďuro left the band in 1995 due to complications with drugs. Currently, the band consists of Ďurinda, Juraj Topor, and Peter Schlosser.
