The MG Music Awards is an annual music awards show presented by the Musicians Guild Nagaland. The annual ceremony was first held over a virtual ceremony on 21 June 2021. [1] [2]

Kohima is the capital of the Indian state of Nagaland. With a resident population of almost 100,000, it is the second largest city in the state. Kohima constitutes both a district and a municipality. The municipality covers 20 km2 (7.7 sq mi). The city lies on the foothills of Japfü section of the Barail Range located south of the District and has an average elevation of 1,261 m (4,137 ft).

Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial Award for Music is a prestigious music award given annually by the Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou Memorial Society and approved by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The award is named after the late Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou for his tremendous contribution to the growth of music in Nagaland. It was instituted in 2009 and is an annual recognition given to the HSLC subject topper in Music under NBSE. This award carries a citation and cash money of 15,000. Cash money was revised to 25,000 in 2020.

Tetseo Sisters are a quartet of sisters from the Northeast Indian state of Nagaland. They are devoted to the art and tradition of the vocal folk music of the state and have been performing on stage since they were children.

The Premios Gardel a la Música, or just Premios Gardel, is an award presented by the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers (CAPIF) to recognize the best of Argentine music and to award the talent of Argentine artists in a diversity of genres and categories. The first season aired on YouTube from 13 November 2020 to 25 December 2020. The second season aired between 28 January 2022 and 4 March 2022.

The 2022 MG Music Awards, the 2nd edition of the ceremony, was held at the RCEMPA Hall in Jotsoma, Nagaland on 18 June 2022. Organized by Musicians Guild Nagaland, the event was the first offline edition since the 1st 2021 edition was held virtually.

The 2021 MG Music Awards, the 1st edition of the ceremony, was held on 21 June 2022. The event was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organized by Musicians Guild Nagaland, the event was hosted by Mengu Süokhrie and Yanpvüo Kikon.
