Ma Biao (born August 1954) is a retired Chinese politician of ethnic Zhuang heritage. Born in Guangxi,Ma joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1985. He was elected chairman of the Guangxi government on January 26,2008,and served this post until March 2013. [1] He was a member of the 18th Central Committee of the CCP. [2] He additionally served as a vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference between 2011 and 2023.
Hua Guofeng,alternatively spelled as Hua Kuo-feng,was a Chinese politician who served as Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party and Premier of the People's Republic of China. The designated successor of Mao Zedong,Hua held the top offices of the government,party,and the military after the deaths of Mao and Premier Zhou Enlai,but was gradually forced out of supreme power by a coalition of party leaders between December 1978 and June 1981,and subsequently retreated from the political limelight,though still remaining a member of the Central Committee until 2002.

The 18th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party was held November 8-15,2012 at the Great Hall of the People. It was preceded by the 17th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. Due to term and age limits restrictions,seven of the nine members of the powerful Politburo Standing Committee (PSC) retired during the Congress,including Hu Jintao,who was replaced by Xi Jinping as General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party. The Congress elected the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party,and saw the number of Politburo Standing Committee seats reduced from nine to seven. It was succeeded by the 19th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.

He was removed from his posts and expelled from the Communist Party in 2013 and subsequently tried on charges of corruption. In October 2014,Li was convicted of taking bribes of 10.95 million Yuan between 2003 and 2013,and sentenced to fifteen years in prison.
Lai Derong is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. At the height of his career,he served as vice chairman of the Guangxi regional committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). As of July 2016 he was under investigation by the Communist Party's anti-graft watchdog. Then he was expelled from the Party and removed from his post and will now serve as an ordinary member of government staff. On 21 September 2016,he was removed from membership of China's top political advisory body,the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. Eight days later,he was also removed from membership of the 12th Autonomous Regional People's Congress.
