Kareem Olasunkanmi Temitayo (born 31 March 1994), professionally known as Magicsticks also known for the tag Tune into the King of Sounds and Blues, [1] is a Nigerian record producer, sound engineer and disc jockey. [2] He made his mainstream debut when he produced DJ Neptune's "Nobody" featuring Mr Eazi and Joeboy in 2020, [3] and popular for producing all 12 track records on Asake Mr. Money with the Vibe album, [4] which album debut at number 66 on Billboard's 200 charts and top albums chart in 31 countries worldwide, making it the biggest debut for an Afrobeats album. Life

Magicsticks was born in Lagos, Nigeria and attended Lagos State Polytechnic. [3] After embracing music thanks to his father, who was a professional DJ, he first followed his path as a DJ before turning to music producing on a full-time basis. He had an affair with Agatha from Osakwa. [8]

Achievements

Magicsticks was awarded the Freedom of Katonga medal, the highest award in Ugandan History by President Museveni of Uganda when he played a private show at the African General's granddaughter's birthday party.

He first rose to prominence with his works on Kizz Daniel's 2018 album No Bad Songz, [9] before producing DJ Neptune's 2020 hit "Nobody", featuring Mr Eazi and Joeboy. [10] At the start of 2022, he formed a successful artist-producer combo with the Nigerian singer-songwriter Asake, as he went on producing, mixing and mastering process both of his debut EP, Ololade, [11] and his debut album, Mr. Money with the Vibe. Magicsticks has produced Nigerian music for the likes of Young John, Niniola, Olamide, Lil Kesh and Mr Eazi and tip to be the 2022 Nigerian producer of the year according to Pulse Nigeria. [13]

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record executive. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion of sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi in 2008 and enrolled at KNUST, where he began booking artists to perform at college parties. He showed interest in music after recording a guest verse on "My Life", a song that gained traction and became a popular record at KNUST. Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape About to Blow in 2013. Ayoola Oladapo Agboola also known as KDDO is a Nigerian record producer, songwriter, and artist. He's best known for producing and writing "Under The Influence" by Chris Brown, charting at number 1 on the Billboard Rhythmic Chart & number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition KDDO wrote and produced Afrobeats longest charting Billboard single "Fall" by Davido, renowned for breaking Afrobeat Music globally. The song peaked on US R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart at number 13 and US Hot R&B Songs chart at number 25 on Billboard. KDDO is the first Afrobeats producer in history to be certified by the Recording Industry Association of America, after Fall became a certified gold record in the US. emPawa Africa Record label in Nigeria

emPawa Africa, headquartered in Lagos, is an African talent incubation enterprise, known for nurturing and supporting up-and-coming artistes. It offers mentorship to 100 African artistes yearly, with a $3,000 (dollars) grant. emPawa is headed by Mr Eazi as Founder/CEO, and houses a publishing, and licensing division, with a streaming service, emPawa Music. In 2020, Billboard Magazine named emPawa as one of The Gatekeepers of the Nigerian music industry.

"Yawa No Dey End" is a song by Nigerian singer-songwriter Majeeed, on his debut extended play Bitter Sweet. It is the third song on the EP, released officially on 25 March 2022 by Dream Empire Music, through Dvpper Music. A new version of the song featuring Joeboy, was released by Dream Empire Music, and licensed through Mr Eazi's emPawa Africa.

<i>Mr. Money with the Vibe</i> 2022 studio album by Asake

Mr. Money with the Vibe is the debut studio album by Nigerian singer Asake, following his signing with YBNL Nation in February 2022. It was released on 7 September 2022 through Empire Distribution. The album comprises 12 tracks, which were all produced by Magicsticks. The album features two guest appearances from Russ and Burna Boy. Two other tracks which have been previously released as singles from the album are "Peace Be Unto You (PBUY)" and "Terminator" which were released in June 2022 and August 2022 respectively. This album release is a follow-up to his extended play Ololade Asake which was released in February 2022 immediately after being signed by Olamide to YBNL. Following the album's release, it peaked at number 66 on the Billboard 200 chart in September 2022.

The TurnTable Top 50 is the official album streaming chart in Nigeria. It is compiled every Tuesday by a Nigeria-based music digital streaming tracking company and published every Tuesday by TurnTable magazine. The list shows the 50 best-streaming music albums of the moment in Nigeria. The first issue of the Nigeria Top 50, was launched on Tuesday, 8 November 2022, and the first number-one album was Mr. Money with the Vibe by Asake.
