Mandla Mashimbyi (born 10 November 1980) is a South African former cricketer. He played in 48 first-class and 49 List A matches between 2003 and 2010. [1] From the 2013/14 season, he became the coach of the Titans in South Africa's domestic cricket competitions. [2] [3] [4] In August 2021, he was named as the bowling coach of the national team for their series against Sri Lanka, after Charl Langeveldt was ruled out of the tour due to a positive test for COVID-19. City Oval Cricket ground

City Oval, is a multi-purpose stadium in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The 12,000 capacity stadium is currently used predominantly for cricket matches, with the ground being used by KwaZulu-Natal Inland men's and women's teams, KwaZulu-Natal and Dolphins, and hosted two matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. It is one of only three first-class cricket grounds in the world to have a tree within the boundary ropes (the others being St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury, United Kingdom and VRA Cricket Ground in Amstelveen, Netherlands), and any cricketer that scores a century or takes a five-wicket haul in a match at the City Oval gets to plant a tree at the ground. Chandradasa Brahammana Ralalage Lahiru Sudesh Kumara, commonly as Lahiru Kumara, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who plays for the Sri Lanka national cricket team in all three formats of the game. He was selected to the international squad at the age of 19, due to his fast bowling capabilities of 140+kmp/h and excellent performances in the Under-19 team.

Pakistan fast bowler Wahab Riaz joined Kent as their overseas player in June, and another fast bowler, South African Charl Langeveldt, signed as Kent's second overseas player for the Friends Life t20 competition only.

Gregory Mahlokwana is a South African cricketer. He made his List A debut for Northerns in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on 12 February 2017. He made his Twenty20 debut for Northerns in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup on 1 September 2017. He made his first-class debut for Northerns in the 2017–18 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on 14 December 2017.

The South Africa cricket team toured Sri Lanka in September 2021 to play three One Day International (ODI) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The ODI series formed part of the inaugural 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
