As of 2001 India census, Mannur had a population of 19,805 with 9,410 males and 10,395 females. Literacy rate of 15,878 with 8,023 females and 7,855 males [3] [1]

Mannur is located 22.3 kilometres (13.9 mi) from Palakkad, the administrative headquarters of the district. Mannur is 262 kilometres (163 mi) from the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.
