Marat Dzhumaev (born 12 January 1976) is an Uzbekistani chess Grandmaster (2001) and twice national champion (2012, 2015).
He played for Uzbekistan in the Chess Olympiads of 2000 and 2002, [1] in the World Team Chess Championship of 2001 [2] and in the Asian Team Chess Championships of 1999, 2003 and 2008. [3]
He tied for 1st–3rd with Ziaur Rahman and Sergei Tiviakov at the 6th United Insurance Tournament in Dhaka 2003, [4] came first at Pune 2004 [5] and Lucknow 2004. [6] In 2007 Dzhumaev tied for 1st–3rd with Leonid Yurtaev and Sergey Kayumov in the first edition of the Georgy Agzamov Memorial in Tashkent. In 2011 in the same tournament he tied for 1st–3rd with Tigran L. Petrosian and Anton Filippov. [7] [8] In 2008, he tied for 3rd–7th with Susanto Megaranto, Darwin Laylo, Dražen Sermek and Ashot Nadanian at the 5th Dato' Arthur Tan Malaysia Open Chess Championship in Kuala Lumpur. [9] In 2009, he tied for 1st–2nd with Viacheslav Zakhartsov in the Cappelle-la-Grande Open [10] and tied for 2nd–5th with Tamaz Gelashvili, Lucian-Costin Miron, Amon Simutowe and Vladimir Burmakin in the Rochefort Open. In the same year, he won the Hokim Cup in Tashkent [11] and tied for first with Andrey Kvon in the Tashkent Mayor's Cup. [12] In 2012, tied for 1st–2nd with S. P. Sethuraman in the Rose Valley Tournament in Kolkata. [13]
Susanto Megaranto is an Indonesian chess player. In 2004, he became the youngest Indonesian ever to qualify for the title Grandmaster at 17, beating out Utut Adianto's record by four years. He won the Indonesian Chess Championship four times in a row from 2006 to 2010. He graduated from Gunadarma University.
Vitaly Valeryevich Tseshkovsky was a Russian chess Grandmaster and a former champion of the USSR.
Farrukh Amonatov is together with Magaram Magomedov the only chess grandmaster of Tajikistan. He is also the winner of many international tournaments and recently won the Mumbai Mayors Cup 2019. Despite living and training in Moscow, Amonatov represents Tajikistan in international tournaments. He is the official coach of the Russian Juniors chess team and conducts chess camps with talented juniors from all over the world.
Darwin Laylo is a Filipino chess grandmaster.
Alexei Fedorov is a Belarusian chess player. He was awarded the titles International Master in 1992 and Grandmaster in 1995 by FIDE.
Vadim Malakhatko is a Ukrainian and Belgian chess grandmaster. He was a member of the gold medal-winning Ukrainian team at the 2001 World Team Chess Championship. In 2000, he won with the Ukrainian team a bronze medal in the 34th Chess Olympiad in Istanbul.
Dražen Sermek is a Croatian chess player. He holds the title of Grandmaster, which FIDE awarded him in 1994. He previously competed for Slovenia.
Xiu Deshun is a Chinese chess grandmaster.
Tigran Levoni Petrosian is an Armenian chess player who holds the title of grandmaster, which FIDE awarded him in 2004. A two-time national champion, he competed in two Chess Olympiads, winning team gold in 2008 and 2012.
Jayson Gonzales is a Filipino chess grandmaster (2008).

Leonid Nikolayevich Yurtaev was a Kyrgyz chess player. In 1986 he was awarded the FIDE title of International Master (IM) and in 1996 he became the first Kyrgyz player to receive the Grandmaster (GM) title. He was noted as a tactician, and in particular as a specialist in the King's Indian Defence.
Namig Guliyev is an Azerbaijani chess player. He holds the title of Grandmaster, which FIDE awarded him in 2005.
Rinat Jumabayev is a Kazakhstani chess player. He was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2009.
John Paul Gomez is a Filipino chess player. He was awarded the title of International Master (IM) in 2007 and International Grandmaster (GM) in 2009. He is a three-time Filipino national junior champion and has also won the Filipino Chess Championship.
