Marble Brewery is a brewery in Albuquerque, New Mexico, founded in 2008. Its main brewhouse is located in downtown Albuquerque on Marble Avenue, which gave the brewery its name. The 30 barrel brewhouse is responsible for brewing all classic and seasonal styles, including Marble's most popular brew, Double White. As of 2018, it was the second largest brewery in New Mexico with an annual production volume of 23,000 US barrels. [2] In 2016, the brewery completed a major expansion which increased the production capacity to 30,000 barrels. [1] Its beers have won several awards and it was named Small Brewery and Brewmaster of the Year at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival. [3]

The brewery operates two satellite taprooms in the Northeast Heights and on the West Side in addition to its main brewery and taproom downtown. Marble also previously operated a taproom in Santa Fe but it was closed in 2015. [4] The Northeast Heights location is also home to the Mav Lab which houses a 10bbl brewhouse and creates a constant stream of specials that are distributed to all three taprooms.

Marble currently employs over 100 people across its two breweries and three taprooms.

Marble also produces a number of special and seasonal beers. [5] Marble operates canning, bottling, and kegging lines on-site and distributes its products to bars and retail locations in throughout New Mexico, Arizona, Southwest Texas, and Southwest Colorado.

Awards

Marble Brewery has won 11 medals at the Great American Beer Festival between 2011 and 2017. They were awarded the Best Small Brewery and Small Brewery Brewer in 2014. The "Double White" has received a Bronze Medal in 2012 and a Gold Medal in 2014 in the Other Strong Beer category. The "Imperial Red" has won a Silver Medal in 2012, a Gold in 2014, and a Bronze in 2015 in the Imperial Red category. They won a Bronze Medal for the “Thunder from Dortmunder” in 2013 in the Dortmunder category. The "Pilsner" has received a Bronze Medal in 2011 and a Silver in 2013 in the German Style Pilsner category and Bronze Medals in 2016 and 2017 in the Kellerbier or Zwickelbier category. [6]

At the World Beer Cup, the "Pilsner" was awarded Gold in 2014 and Bronze in 2016 in the Kellerbier or Zwickelbier category. [7] [8]

In 2017, they won the GABF Gold for Cholo Stout which spearheaded its year-round release and addition to Marble's list of "classic" styles. [9]

The Lancaster Brewing Company is a brewery and pub located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania that produces beer and serves food. The brewery produces over 20 different beers throughout the year. Up to 20 beers are on tap inside the restaurant at any one time. Lancaster Brewing Company beer can be found throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with distribution in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. The brewery and the restaurant are located in the historic Edward McGovern Tobacco Warehouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990 located at 302 N. Plum St, Lancaster, PA 17602.

Oskar Blues Brewery

Oskar Blues Brewery is a craft brewery with locations in Longmont, Colorado, Brevard, North Carolina, and Austin, Texas. The company began as a brewpub in Lyons, Colorado in 1997 and began brewing beer in the basement in 1999. In 2002, they became one of the first to put their own craft beer in cans. In 2012, they began marketing some of their craft beer in resealable aluminum containers, and in 2012, they expanded and established another brewery in Brevard, North Carolina.

Sharp's Brewery is a British brewery founded in 1994 in St Minver Lowlands, Rock, Cornwall, by Bill Sharp. Since 2011, the brewery has been owned by Molson Coors. It is best known for its flagship ale Doom Bar, named after the notoriously perilous Doom Bar sandbank in north Cornwall.

Panama produces three brands of rum and a similar liquor known as Seco Herrerano, but beer is also quite popular. There are multiple brands produced by six companies.

Malt Shovel Brewery

The Malt Shovel Brewery is an Australian brewery owned by Lion, which in turn is a subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Kirin. It is located in Camperdown, New South Wales. Malt Shovel is best known for its James Squire range of beers. The beer is named after the convict turned Australia's first brewer James Squire, who also went on to grow Australia's first hops and is said to have created Australia's first commercial brewery.
