Susan Elizabeth Rice is an American diplomat, policy advisor, and former public official who served as the 27th United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013 and as the 24th United States National Security Advisor from 2013 to 2017.
David Michael Satterfield is an American diplomat and U.S. Ambassador, who has served extensively in the Middle East, including the Persian Gulf area, Lebanon, and Iraq. He later served as a Senior Advisor on Iraq for Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and was Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers, the peacekeeping force for the Sinai Peninsula from June 2009 until August 2017. He was chargé d'affaires to Egypt from August 2013 to January 2014 and was subsequently Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for Libya. William Joseph Burns is President of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and former United States Deputy Secretary of State (2011-2014). Julie Haynes Lutz is an astronomer and mathematician who studies planetary nebulae and symbiotic binary stars. Lutz was the Boeing Distinguished Professor of Mathematics and Science Education and director of the astronomy program at Washington State University. She moved to the University of Washington in 2000 and is now professor emeritus there.
