Tarlac,officially the Province of Tarlac,is a landlocked province in the Philippines located in the Central Luzon region. Its capital is the city of Tarlac. It is bounded on the north by the province of Pangasinan,Nueva Ecija on the east,Zambales on the west and Pampanga in the south. The province comprises three congressional districts and is subdivided into 17 municipalities and one city,Tarlac City,which is the provincial capital.

From its northern terminus at Rosario in La Union to its southern terminus at Tarlac City,the expressway has a length of 89.21-kilometer (55.43 mi),cutting through the various provinces in northern Central Luzon.
José"Pepe" Chichioco Cojuangco Sr. was a Filipino politician who served as Representative of the 1st District of Tarlac in the Philippines from 1934 to 1946. Cojuangco is one of the patriarchs of the Cojuangco clan. He was the father and grandfather of future Philippine presidents Corazon Aquino and Benigno Aquino III,respectively. His other grandchildren include actresses Kris Aquino and Mikee Cojuangco.

The university was founded in its current form in 1979,although its origins trace back to the 1920s. PSU is notable for its many locations throughout the province of Pangasinan. It is mandated to provide advanced instruction in the arts,agricultural and natural sciences as well as in technological and professional fields. Its main campus is located in Lingayen,Pangasinan. Other campuses are located in Alaminos,Asingan,Bayambang,Binmaley,Infanta,San Carlos City,Santa Maria,and Urdaneta City. The PSU School of Advanced Studies (SAS) is located in Urdaneta City and the Open University Systems (OUS) is located in Lingayen Campus.

Christopher George Martin de Venecia,sometimes referred to as Toff de Venecia,is a former child actor,writer,director and a member of the Philippine House of Representatives for the 4th district of Pangasinan. He is the son of Gina de Venecia and Jose de Venecia,Jr.
Pangasinan's 5th congressional district is one of the six congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Pangasinan. It has been represented in the House of Representatives of the Philippines since 1916 and earlier in the Philippine Assembly from 1907 to 1916. The district consists of the city of Urdaneta and adjacent municipalities of Alcala,Bautista,Binalonan,Laoac,Pozorrubio,Santo Tomas,Sison and Villasis. It is currently represented in the 19th Congress by Ramon Guico Jr. of the Lakas–CMD (Lakas).
