Mark Mitchinson (born 6 July 1966) [1] is an English-born New Zealand actor. He trained at the Guildhall School of Speech and Drama in London. [2] He won an award [3] for his portrayal of convicted murderer Colin Bouwer in the television drama Bloodlines, [4] and an award for Best Performance by an Actor award at the 2012 New Zealand Television Awards for playing Jan Molenaar in Siege. [5] He was also cast in The Hobbit as Braga [6] and Power Rangers Megaforce as the voice of Creepox, [7] portraying the militia leader Crosby in the 2015 first season of the television series Ash vs Evil Dead , and Mr. Fonda in the 2023 film Evil Dead Rise , in which he also voices Father Marcus Littleton.

Power Rangers Megaforce is the twentieth season of the long-running television series Power Rangers. The show is produced by SCG Power Rangers and began airing on Nickelodeon on February 2, 2013. The show was part of the Power Rangers 20th anniversary. Kidscreen reported that Megaforce featured "the return of many historic Rangers." Colin Bouwer (1950-2018) was a South African-born New Zealand former doctor who rose to become Head of Psychiatry at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. He spent 16 years in prison for the murder of his third wife Annette. His crime was dramatised in the TV movie Bloodlines, with Bouwer being portrayed by Mark Mitchinson. His son from a previous marriage was also convicted of an unrelated murder in 2003. His first wife was also convicted of helping their son cover up his crime.

The Brokenwood Mysteries is an award-winning New Zealand television detective drama series that premiered on Prime in 2014. Each of the first six series comprises four distinct episodes. From Series 7, seasons were extended to six episodes. The programme is set in the fictitious New Zealand town of Brokenwood in the North Island, and is filmed in the greater Auckland region. Tim Balme is the current showrunner, having conceived the series, while also working as head writer and producer.
