Marseille XIII was a French rugby league club from the city of Marseille.
Marseille XIII were founded in 1946. The club has only won the French Championship once, in 1949. They have however lost three finals, in 1950, 1952 and 1973. Despite their poor record in the French Championship, they have had more success in the Lord Derby Cup, appearing in the final seven times and winning on five occasions.
They moved up to the Elite Division of the French Championship for the 2005-2006. The following season Marseille XIII were declared bankrupt and wound up. A new club, Marseille XIII Avenir, was founded from the ashes in 2007.

The French Rugby League Cup, also called Lord Derby Cup after its championship trophy, is the premier knockout competition for the sport of rugby league football in France. The French Cup was first contested in 1934–35, which also marked the first season of the French Rugby League Championship.
XIII Catalan is a rugby league team from Perpignan in the Pyrénées-Orientales region of southern France. They were founded in 1934, and thus were founding members of the French rugby league championship. In 2000 their senior team merged with nearby neighbours AS Saint Estève to form Union Treiziste Catalane, now better known in the English-speaking world by their Super League identity of Catalans Dragons.

Lyon Villeurbanne XIII are a semi-professional rugby league club from the town of Lyon, Rhône-Alpes in France. Formed in 1934 they are one of the oldest clubs in France. During the 1950s they won both the league and cup. They currently play in the Elite Two Championship which is the second tier. Their home stadium is the Stade Georges Lyvet and their player-coach for 2018-19 season is Sebastien Aguerra.
The Catalans Dragons are a professional rugby league club from Perpignan, Pyrénées-Orientales department, France. The team competes in the Super League and are the only team from outside England. The Dragons play regular home games at Stade Gilbert Brutus in the centre of the city. Catalans Dragons are the first non-British team to win the Challenge Cup since the competition started in 1896, after beating Warrington Wolves 20–14 at Wembley Stadium on 25 August 2018.

The club was founded in 1946 and then re-founded in 2007. It plays its matches at the Stade Roger Couderc. In addition to the open age team, the club also has a women's team and a thriving junior section.
Saint-Estève XIII Catalan who were previously called Union Treiziste Catalane or UTC for short are a semi-professional rugby league team based in Perpignan in the region of Pyrénées-Orientales in the south of France. Founded in 2000 after a merger between AS Saint-Estève and XIII Catalan the club plays in the Elite One Championship which is the top tier rugby league competition in France. They have won the league title once and the cup four times. Their current home stadium is the Stade Municipal and they are coached by Jerome Guisset
Antranik Apelian was a French-Armenian rugby league footballer who played in 1950s and 1960s, as a hooker. At club level, he played for Marseille XIII for all of his career, with which he won the Lord Derby Cup in 1965 and ended second in the 1954 French Rugby League Championship final. He was surnamed "Niky". Outside the field, he worked as a firefighter in the Marseille Naval Fire Battalion. He also had a reputation of being "tough as nails".
Santiago Cavero, known as Jacques Cabero, was a French rugby league player who played as hooker or prop. He played in his career first for XIII Catalan with which he won the double French Cup/Championship in 1969, and later, from 1972 for Pia with which he won the Lord Derby Cup in 1975. Cabero was also known by his nickname Le Sanglier des Albères.
