Masters Performing Arts College is an independent dance/musical theatre college based in the town of Rayleigh in Essex, England.[ citation needed ]

The college stages an annual production in July at The Shaw Theatre - London to showcase work across all 3 years. This is attended by industry and parents / guardians.
The college also stages a Year 3 - Graduate Year Showcase at The Leicester Square Theatre in May each year which many agents/directors in the industry attend in helping the graduates gain agent representation & employment.

Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, often referred to simply as LaGuardia or "LaG", is a public high school specializing in teaching visual arts and performing arts, located near Lincoln Center in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of the Upper West Side in Manhattan, New York City. Doreen Bird MA FISTD ARAD was a British dance teacher and founder of the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts in Sidcup, Kent. She was a fellow, examiner, lecturer, committee and council member of the ISTD, life member of the RAD, and Honorary MA. Prior to her death from Leukaemia in 2004, she had been studying towards a Ph.D. As well as being a respected dance figure in the United Kingdom, Bird also travelled the World as a lecturer and adjudicator specialising in dance and musical theatre. The college which Bird founded is now recognised Internationally as a centre of excellence for dance and performing arts, with its students working worldwide in high-profile areas of the performing industry including West End and Broadway theatre.
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is an international dance teaching and examination board based in London, England. The registered educational charity, which was established on 25 July 1904 as the Imperial Society of Dance Teachers, provides training and examinations in a range of dance styles and certified dance teacher courses. The ISTD is recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and the Council for Dance Education and Training and is also a member of the British Dance Council. It hosts various competitions in many different formats including Modern Ballroom, Latin American, Classical Ballet and Tap Dance as well as contemporary styles like Disco Freestyle.

One of the few Irish male students of the Royal Ballet School, he is a former member of the Scottish Ballet, and a former Principal Dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. He teaches and choreographs, including with the Irish National Youth Ballet, and works as a course and quality officer for the National College of Art and Design in Dublin.
