Laxmikant–Pyarelal were an Indian composer duo, consisting of Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar (1937–1998) and Pyarelal Ramprasad Sharma . They composed music for about 750 Hindi movies from 1963 to 1998, working for almost all notable filmmakers, including Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Shakti Samanta, Manmohan Desai, Yash Chopra, K. Balanchander, Boney Kapoor, J. Om Prakash, Raj Khosla, L V Prasad, Subhash Ghai, Mahesh Bhatt, K Viswanath and Manoj Kumar.
Leena Chandavarkar is an Indian former actress who appeared in Bollywood movies as a leading actress and now appears in reality shows. She was an actress during the late 60s and early 70s. She played leading heroine opposite almost all superstars during that era and was frequently paired opposite Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Dilip Kumar, Sunil Dutt and Raaj Kumar.

The latter four had previously starred, earlier that same year, in Desai's own Amar Akbar Anthony, the highest-grossing film of the year.

Aan Milo Sajna is a 1970 Hindi-language musical drama film written by Sachin Bhowmick, produced by Jagdish Kumar and directed by Mukul Dutt. The film stars Rajesh Khanna and Asha Parekh in the lead roles and the supporting cast included Vinod Khanna, Rajendra Nath and Nirupa Roy. The music is by Laxmikant Pyarelal with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. The film became a super hit at the box office and the song "Acha to Hum Chalte Hain" was a phenomenon. This film is counted among the 17 consecutive hit films of Rajesh Khanna between 1969 and 1971, by adding the two-hero films Marayada and Andaz to the 15 consecutive solo hits he gave from 1969 to 1971. During the interval of other films released in 1970, when the trailer for Aan Milo Sajna, used to be played, crowds would erupt as soon as Rajesh Khanna arrived on the screen.

Rajesh Khanna received an All-India Critics Association (AICA) Best Actor Award for his performance in this film in 1983.

Welcome to Sajjanpur, a film inspired by Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, became a hit at the box office in 2008.

Harnam Singh Rawail, often credited as H. S. Rawail, was an Indian filmmaker. He debuted as a director with the 1940 Bollywood film Dorangia Daku and is best known for romantic films like Mere Mehboob (1963), Sunghursh (1968), Mehboob Ki Mehndi (1971) and Laila Majnu (1976). His son Rahul Rawail and grandson Rajat Rawail are film directors too; the former paid a tribute to his father's film Sunghursh by titling one of his film as Jeevan Ek Sanghursh (1990).
