Melville Harold "Mel" Bungey (born 30 August 1934) is an Australian retired politician. Born in Gnowangerup,Western Australia,he was educated at Wesley College,Perth and the University of Western Australia before becoming a farmer. Later,he was vice-president of the Wool Section in the Farmers' Union of Western Australia. In 1974,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Canning,defeating the sitting member,John Hallett of the Country Party. He held the seat until his defeat in 1983 by Labor candidate Wendy Fatin. [1]

In 1980,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for McMillan,defeating Barry Simon of the Liberal Party,who had been deprived of Democratic Labor Party preferences due to his views on abortion. He was defeated in 1990 but was re-elected in 1993,before being defeated again in 1996.

Leonard William Hamilton was an Australian politician. Born in Jarrahdale,Western Australia,he was educated at Perth Boys School before becoming a wheat and sugar farmer. He served in the military from 1917 to 1920 and from 1940 to 1945. In 1946,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Country Party member for Swan,defeating Labor MP Don Mountjoy. In 1949,he transferred to the new seat of Canning,where he remained until his retirement in 1961. Hamilton later served as President of the Western Australian branch of the Country Party. He died in 1987.
Neil McNeill was an Australian politician. Born in Yarloop,Western Australia,he was educated at Scotch College,Perth,and the University of Western Australia,after which he became a farmer. He served in the military in 1945,and returned to become a district officer with the Western Australian Department of Agriculture. In 1961,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Canning. He held the seat until his defeat by a Country Party candidate in 1963. In 1965 he was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council for Lower West,where he remained until 1983,when he retired.
John Mead Hallett was an Australian politician. He was educated at Guildford Grammar School in Perth,after which he became a farmer at Corrigin. He was the director of Farmers' Weekly before becoming President of the Western Australian Western Australian Country Party in 1962;the following year,he relinquished the presidency to run for the Australian House of Representatives in the Liberal-held seat of Canning. Hallett was successful,and held the seat until his defeat in 1974. He died in 1999.
John Henry Prowse was an Australian politician. Born in Adelong,New South Wales,he was educated at public schools and then at Kings College,Melbourne. He became an insurance agent and then a station owner in Western Australia,where he eventually became a Perth City Councillor,serving as Mayor 1913–1914. In 1919,Prowse was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the member for Swan,representing the Farmers' and Settlers' Association,which in 1920 solidified to become the Australian Country Party. Prowse transferred to the new seat of Forrest in 1922,allowing party colleague Henry Gregory to contest Swan. He served as chairman of committees from 1934 to 1943,the first member of his party to hold the position.

He was also president of the Western Australian Trades Union Industrial Council,and served as president of the Western Australian Branch of the Australian Labor Party from 1946 to 1955.

Born in Perth,Western Australia,he was educated at the University of Western Australia and the University of Sydney,after which he became a lecturer in economics and industrial relations. In 1983,he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Labor member for Stirling,defeating the sitting member,Liberal minister Ian Viner. Edwards held Stirling until his defeat by Liberal candidate Eoin Cameron in 1993.

Gilbert William Arthur Duthie AM was an Australian politician. Born in Nhill,Victoria,he was educated at state schools and at the University of Melbourne before becoming a schoolteacher and farmer in rural Victoria. In 1938 he was ordained a Methodist minister,and in 1944 he moved to Latrobe,Tasmania. In 1945 and 1946 Duthie was directly involved with Australian rules football in the town. He was secretary of the Latrobe Football Club as well as playing senior games for it in the NWFU competition.
Archibald Clifford Blacklow,was an Australian politician. Born in Bagdad,Tasmania,he was educated in Hobart at Hutchins School and then at the University of Sydney,serving part-time in the New South Wales Militia between 1899 and 1901,and then the Australian Rifles between 1909 and 1913. He became a pharmacist in Sydney before serving full-time in the military during the First World War between 1916 and 1919,serving in the 36th and then 35th Infantry Battalions,and rising to command the 3rd Machine Gun Battalion on the Western Front in the final year of the war. For his leadership of the 3rd Machine Gun Battalion,he was invested with the Distinguished Service Order. Between 1921 and 1924 he commanded the 34th Infantry Battalion.

In 1990,he was elected to the Australian Senate as a Liberal Senator from Western Australia. For the 2001 election,he was demoted to fourth place on the Liberal ticket,replaced by the State President of the WA Liberal Party,David Johnston. Crane was defeated;his term expired in 2002.
