The "All 1" moved to an old cable factory in 1999 when its previous site at the "Allende Viertel" was redeveloped for housing. It was planned as a sports and teens project and won the 1999 & 2000 city contest "Teens Build the New Berlin" (Jugend entwicklet das neue Berlin).
Mellowpark grew very fast and is now the biggest Outdoor Skaterpark in Europe. To the year 2008 the park was used by more than 20,000 people a year.[citation needed] The Youth Welfare Office sponsored Mellowpark with over €75,000 (USD $115,000) annually.[citation needed] The Berner Group, a private investor, bought the place next to Mellowpark and planned a project for loft apartments.[citation needed] The Berner Group wanted Mellowpark to be closed as few people would want to live next to a skatepark.
It was decided in June 2008, after two demonstrations and a year-long petition collection, the City of Berlin decided that Mellowpark would close on December 31, 2008.[2][3] Later that month, the City of Berlin announced Mellowpark would be moved to a new location, opposite the football stadium of 1. FC Union Berlin and the river Spree, address: An der Wuhlheide.
The new Mellowpark was opened in August 2012 with the event "Highway to Hill 2012".[3]

The equestrian statue of Frederick the Great is an outdoor sculpture in cast bronze at the east end of Unter den Linden in Berlin, honouring King Frederick II of Prussia. Designed in 1839 by Christian Daniel Rauch and unveiled in 1851, it influenced other monuments. After having been encased in cement for protection during World War II, the statue and its base were removed by the East Germans in 1950 and re-erected in 1963 at Sanssouci in Potsdam, but returned to Unter den Linden in 1980. After German reunification the monument was moved back to its original location and restored. It is a registered monument of the City of Berlin.

KjG has a democratic structure and local groups throughout Germany, mainly in Catholic parishes, with a total of about 80,000 members. Since April 2020, when Germany's Constitutional Court ruled that the governmental lockdown imposed in March to counter the COVID-19 pandemic did not allow blanket bans on rallies, several protests have been held in Germany against the two lockdowns and other anti-pandemic regulations. The protests attracted a mix of people from varied backgrounds, including supporters of populist ideas who felt called to defend against what they saw as an arrogant central government; supporters of various conspiracy theories; and sometimes far right-wing groups. Anti-vaxxers generally also formed a major part of the protesters. Some protesters held strongly negative views towards public media, who they believed to report in an unfair manner; repeatedly, journalists covering the rallies were subjected to harassment and physical attacks. Such attacks were the main reason why Germany slipped from eleventh to 13th place in the Press Freedom Index of Reporters Without Borders, according to a report published on 20April 2021.
