Stephon Manuel (born January 8, 1992), most popularly known now as Mason Taylor formally known as Mi$tro, is an American producer and rapper, from Caroline County, Virginia. [1] He first gained recognition after the release of a mixtape entitled The Commonwealth II [1] which was hosted by DJ Grady, DJ Iceberg and DJ Flatline. [2] As a producer, he recently produced "Freddy" for Fredo on the soundtrack for hit show Top Boy on Netflix. .

Career

In 2014, Mi$tro released "The Commonwealth II" which featured hit single Bandz. XXL Magazine premiered the project with an exclusive interview, which was the start to him gaining national attention. [3] Mi$tro then began to work with Lex Luger. During the A3C Festival, in Atlanta, Georgia, Mi$tro received a cosign from Jay Electronica. Jay Electronica was spotted wearing the MGM crewneck he received from Mi$tro's business partner, J-Real. Images of him wearing the crewneck caused the crewneck to sell out instantly. [4]

In 2015, Mi$tro signed with Ichor Music Group, under distribution of Warner Music Group. On February 16, 2015, he released his self-titled EP. [5] [6] After the release of the EP, Mi$tro signed with MIH Entertainment [7] for management. MIH Entertainment [7] is the home of rapper, King Lil G. In October 2015, Mi$tro was an official artist for A3C where he headlined the CreatiVeli showcase. [8] [9]

In 2016, Mi$tro released a 9-track mixtape, GOLD [10] that was executive produced by Money Montage. [11] Respect Magazine wrote about Mi$tro's record "Gold Talk" in their With All Due RESPECT: 5 Tracks You're Sleeping On segment. [12] Mi$tro was a special guest on King Lil G's Lost In Smoke 2 Tour.

In 2017, Mi$tro launched his production under the name Mason Taylor. He began his YouTube channel, which now has over 30 million views and over 100,000 subscribers. During this time, Mason Taylor landed his first major production credit in episode 7 of the first season of hit show On My Block on Netflix while as performing as Mi$tro.

In 2019, Mason Taylor was featured on the Top Boy Soundtrack as a producer for the single "Freddy" by Fredo. The song has peaked at #53 of the Official Charts and has gathered over 10 million streams worldwide.

Tyrone William Griffin Jr., better known by his stage name Ty Dolla Sign, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He first gained major recognition in 2010 for his feature on American rapper YG's single "Toot It and Boot It", which he had co-written and produced for Def Jam Recordings. In the summer of 2013, he signed a record deal with American rapper Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Records. In November 2015, he released his debut studio album, Free TC, which peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200.

Brian Todd Collins, known professionally as Kid Ink, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Los Angeles, California. Kevin "Chevy" Woods is an American rapper and songwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. <i>Beach House EP</i> 2014 EP by Ty Dolla Sign

Beach House EP is the debut extended play (EP) by American singer Ty Dolla Sign. It was released on January 21, 2014, by Atlantic Records. Ty mostly produced through the entirety of this EP, alongside the variety of the other record producers such as DJ Mustard, D'Mile and Young Chop, among others. The EP features guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa, B.o.B, French Montana, Trey Songz, Twista, Jay Rock, Travis Scott and Fredo Santana, among others. The EP was supported by three singles: "Paranoid" featuring B.o.B, "Or Nah" featuring Wiz Khalifa and DJ Mustard, and the remix to the first single entitled "Paranoid (Remix)".

Brandon George Dickinson, better known by his stage name Lil Bibby, is an American rapper and record executive. Beginning his career in 2011, Bibby released his debut mixtape in 2013, titled Free Crack. After signing with Kemosabe Records, he followed up the project with Free Crack 2 (2014) and Free Crack 3 (2015). In 2017, he eventually switched focus onto his own record label, Grade A Productions. David Lawrence Brewster Jr., better known by his stage name Dave East, is an American rapper, songwriter, and actor from Harlem, New York. Terrence Louis Henderson Jr., better known by his stage name Punch, is an American rapper, record producer and record executive from Carson, California. He is best known for being the president of independent record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He has also executive produced several successful albums, including Kendrick Lamar's Section.80 (2011), Schoolboy Q's Habits & Contradictions (2012), Terrace Martin's 3ChordFold, (2013) and more. Fredrick Dewon Thomas Givens II, known professionally as Fredo Bang, is an American rapper from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is best known for his tracks "Oouuh" and "Top". In April 2020, he released his debut studio album, Most Hated, through Se Lavi Productions and Def Jam Recordings.
