Michael Anthony Mauro (born September 29,1948) was the Iowa Secretary of State. He previously served as County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections for Polk County,Iowa for nearly a decade. Mauro is also a former high school government teacher and coach,and is a graduate of Drake University.
Mauro was elected to be Iowa's 30th Secretary of State on November 7,2006,with 541,234 votes,defeating Republican opponent Mary Ann Hanusa. [1]
In November 2010,Mauro was defeated for reelection. [2]

Robert Brian Gibbs is an American farmer and politician serving as the U.S. representative for Ohio's 7th congressional district. He is a member of the Republican Party. On April 6, 2022, Gibbs announced he is not seeking reelection.
Iowa's 4th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Iowa that covers its northwestern part, bordering the states of Minnesota, South Dakota, and Nebraska, and the Missouri River. The district includes Sioux City, Ames, Mason City, Fort Dodge, Boone and Carroll; it is currently represented by Republican Randy Feenstra, who has been in office since 2021. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+16, it is the most Republican district in Iowa.
Paul Danny Pate Jr. is an American businessman and politician serving as the 32nd and current Secretary of State of Iowa since 2015, previously holding the office from 1995 to 1999. Pate is the Past President of the National Association of Secretaries of State. A member of the Republican Party, he also served in the Iowa Senate from 1989 to 1995 and as Mayor of Cedar Rapids from 2002 to 2006. He was an unsuccessful candidate for his party's nomination for Governor of Iowa in 1998.

Matthew W. "Matt" McCoy is a member of the Board of Supervisors of Polk County, Iowa, representing the fifth district. A member of the Iowa Democratic Party, McCoy served in the Iowa Senate from 1997-2019 and the Iowa House of Representatives from 1993-1997. McCoy was the first openly gay member of the Iowa General Assembly.

United States gubernatorial elections were held on November 2, 2010, in 37 states and two territories. These elections coincided with the elections for the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives as well as other state and local elections. As in most midterm elections, the party controlling the White House lost ground. Democrats took five governorships from the Republicans, while Republicans took 11 governorships from the Democrats. An independent won one governorship previously held by a Republican, while a Republican won one governorship previously held by an independent. Republicans held a majority of governorships for the first time since before the 2006 elections. One state, Louisiana, had no election for governor, but it did feature a special election for lieutenant governor.
Patrick Grassley is the Iowa State Representative from the 50th District. A Republican, Grassley has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 2007. He also serves as speaker of the Iowa House of Representatives. Grassley is the grandson of U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley.

Randall Lee Feenstra is an American politician and businessman serving as the U.S. representative for Iowa's 4th congressional district. The district covers much of the northwestern quadrant of the state, including Sioux City, but stretches as far east as Ames and Mason City.
The 2014 Iowa gubernatorial election took place on November 4, 2014, to elect the Governor of Iowa. Republican incumbent Terry Branstad ran for reelection to a sixth overall and second consecutive four-year term. Branstad went on to win a historic sixth term as governor by defeating Democratic challenger and State Senator Jack Hatch, and on December 14, 2015, he became the longest-serving governor in American history. He won 59.1% of the popular vote to Hatch's 37.3%, and carried every county in the state except Johnson, home to Iowa City and the University of Iowa.

A general election was held in the U.S. state of Iowa on November 8, 2022. All of Iowa's executive officers were up for election, as well as a United States Senate seat, all four of Iowa's seats in the United States House of Representatives, 25 (half) of the seats in the Iowa Senate, and all 100 seats in the Iowa House of Representatives. Primary elections were held on June 7, 2022.
