Career

Panes appeared in Lisa Loeb's reality television series Number 1 Single . The two were old friends and during the course of the show began to date. Panes and Loeb ended their relationship when Panes had to move to Los Angeles for an acting role. Loeb has since married. [1]

Panes's film roles include classical musician Levi Panes in The Anniversary Party and Gore Vidal in Infamous. [2]

The song was written and composed by Loeb herself, while production was handled by Juan Patiño. "Stay" was originally conceived in 1990, at one point with the intent of selling it to Daryl Hall for a project he was seeking music for. Upon deciding to use the song herself, Loeb's neighbor and friend, actor Ethan Hawke, heard the song and submitted it to Ben Stiller for use in the film he was directing, Reality Bites. Elizabeth Ardis Mitchell is an American singer, songwriter and musician. She began her career performing with Lisa Loeb as the duo Liz and Lisa, then founded the indie rock band Ida in 1991, of which she continues to be a member. Liz and Lisa was a band formed by Lisa Loeb and Elizabeth Mitchell while both were enrolled at Brown University in the late 1980s. Both women were in the class of 1990 at Brown. James Burrill Angell was an American educator and diplomat. He is best known for being the longest-serving president of the University of Michigan, from 1871 to 1909.
